Monroes Restaurant

I was there with a party of 12 for lunch. Parking is terrible, as there is not enough spaces. Even around back, where the main entrance is, was full! Food was delicious, but I wouldn't advise to attend if your in a hurry. Place was very busy during the lunch time so it took awhile to order and then served. Never got the opportunity to order another glass of wine! Prices are a little high but there is a wide variety of items on the menu.

What a place!!! Service is top notch! The lobster mac&cheese goes amazing with this 1000 stories red zin. If you are in Rochester you must go here. You will thank me.

First time visitor for an event. Surprised at how big and varied the location is. Lots of different spots inside the site for dining and other occasions. Enjoyed the ambience. Reserving full star rating since the event was buffet style and self-service apart from brief visibility of wait staff at end.

We went for the first time last night with regulars. We got there first and went to the bar. We sat there for almost 10 minutes - where the two bartenders literally ignored us - and the place wasn’t THAT busy! They were catering to people on either ends of the bar - literally looked at us and ignored. Even when we engaged with her and asked what she was making - she told us and walked away! Then Katherine came and asked what we wanted. We got served promptly. A group on the end then moved to eat outside. We asked Katherine if we could slide down so there would be room for our friends. They arrived and we sat there about 20 minutes enjoying our drinks. The people who were outside came back in (too hot) - and Katherine told us those seats were reserved and we had to move. At the bar. I have never experienced anything like it. We moved and the people didn’t even sit there! I would have left - but didn’t want to embarrass our friends who recommended the place. We sat down and our server Angela was MAGNIFICENT. She was friendly, efficient and fun. Food was excellent. Manager came over to check and we told her the bar story and she insisted on getting us dessert which wasn’t necessary. But appreciated. She said bar manager wasn’t there that night. So we enjoyed everything but the bar was a joke. We will try again - but if we are treated like that at the bar again - we will be gone.
