“We stopped here on Saturday night, actually waited almost a year for this place to open. We kept driving by wondering when and if, the wait would be worth it. We have been searching for a Thia place closer to home with authentic flavors that didnt break the bank and its finally here! Food here is amazing, fresh, every flavor of spice dances across your palate. (Massa man Curry perfection and the Rangsit Chicken made me wish I had a bigger stomach)The owner (Addie) takes such pride in everything she serves, you know she must have bought every ingredient personally. If she suggest something take her seriously she knows what she is doing. The design of the place is clean and simple. Very laid back. It's a small place which I see getting really crowded very soon. If you love Thia you have to try this place. Oh and leave room for dessert (Jasmine Penna Cotta), you will not be disappointed.”

“Reopened and under management by previous owner. So glad the diner, previously known as Star, has reopened as the Hicksville Diner. We had lunch there and were pleasantly surprised to be welcomed by the original owners (the ones who knew had to run a business). The food is great, but more importantly, the diner is clean again, and the staff is professional as well as efficient and friendly. Please do not let the negative reviews, that the Star diner received, color your choice to eat here.”

“First time that my family and I have ever tried this restaurant. Very clean, very friendly staff. We were greeted with a smile and a hello. My son ordered the double cheese burger and he loved it. My wife ordered the chicken fingers and they were great! I had the spicy chicken sandwich and it was very good. We ordered a few sides as well: - coleslaw - mashed potatoes with gravy - biscuits Everything was very good! It’s a fast food place that has way better than the usual fast food experience. I met one of the owners and he wanted to make sure everything was perfect. My family and I will be back for sure.”

“This was the former Blue Fish Sushi Restaurant. It is attached to a Local hotel. Does not look like much from outside but it is roomy and nicely decorated inside. The front room has a liquor bar and a few booths and tables. The back room has the Sushi bar along with more seating for larger groups. They now have an all you can eat menu that includes salads, appetizers, soups and sushi. The price is reasonable for the amount of food you get. There is something for everyone and the sushi is fresh. Had a great time here, but beware service can be slow as it is always busy.”

“Came here tonight with some friends for dinner. It was a group of us so I’m not going to go through everything we ate. Overall I’d give 4 stars for everything. The food was very nicely flavored and authentic. 2-3 pieces of my chicken was undercooked, not a huge deal. The waiters were nice but all appetizers were not served together nor was the entrees or deserts. It was sort of scattered serving. At the end of the night we had to ask someone else for the receipt as our waiter didn’t come back to our table. It’s known for larger groups that gratitude is automatically taken, but we didn’t even know what percentage it was until we got the receipt ourselves. They do not serve alcohol here so you have to bring your own liquor. The decor was plain and simple, lots of wood on the wall and floors. Bathroom was kept clean as well. If I am in the area I will return. More of a take out place than dine in.”

“My family likes having Subway sandwiches and we usually go to the Subway in Plainview, but that one didn't have enough bread loafs for our sandwiches. So we ended up going to this location in Hicksville. The place is nice and I must say that the customer service was excellent. The person serving was really nice. So we ordered from here. But the only thing we noticed was that the footlongs (bread loafs) were much smaller in size than usual, thinner and smaller than what we get at the other location. So we probably won't be going there again.”
