Nice, rustic setting, great service, and excellent food. American fare with a little twist, never fails, you always know you're getting something good. Great late night menu, in a neighborhood where kitchens close earlier than the revellers. Recommend for lunch, dinner, and late a night.
Surprisingly affordable for a Midtown bar. My brother, my cousin and I decided to stay at the bar for the bar bites. Our bartended was from Louisiana and he struck up a conversation with us about the differences in the creole in Louisiana compared to that of Haiti. Right from the first pick, our favorites are easily the chicken wings, the cheese steak spring rolls, the truffle man 'n cheese, the lamb nachos and the coconut curried mussels. We complemented those with two pitchers of grapefruit mojito from which we were able to get three drinks each and the evening was set. This totaled to about $50 for each of us and we were quite satisfyingly full. I will definitely be coming back here. Thank you for a great time.
Good, but nothing special. Standard fancy bar food, average beer selection, slightly above average whiskey selection.
If you're in the neighborhood check it out, but don't go out of your way.
Most of the other bars and restaurants in the area cater to the loud and obnoxious. Cask and Kitchen is chill with intelligent service that anticipates guests’ needs and above par bar bites at a reasonable price (by NYC standards). A welcome respite from the noise and chaos of Murray Hill.
