Amazing experience! Excellent food. Juicy pastrami. Clean restaurant. Staff very friendly. I guess being my first time I expected an experience a little more abrasive. Not the case. Never eaten Jewish deli style food and out server was very patient and excellent at filling us in on the best items. Like an idiot I didn’t get his name. But I would recommend this place 100/100.
So glad to have a Midtown option for hot pastrami and all things New York deli. I ordered the staple hot pastrami with fries well done. The sandwich was delicious and the fries were as ordered, which is something you expect in NYC. Service was excellent and quick. After the demise of some other well-known deli spots close to the Theatre District, 2nd Ave Deli is worth the trip. Enjoy!!
Amazing pastrami sandwich, perfect with complimentary pickles and cole slaw...
Went with my husband the day before Thanksgiving. Short wait, prompt service. Delicious matzo ball soup. Would definitely recommend. Will definitely be back
So the 2nd Ave Deli now on 3rd Ave!!
I am from far out of town, (Phoenix) we visited and ate here in the 80's. And at that time they kept our kosher meat before we went to Cape Cod. So because they were so nice, I had to come back.
It is still wonderful!!! My sandwich and knish were perfect. I am glad that nothing was lost in the transition to the new location.
Great service. I stopped in and immediately felt incredibly welcome, as if I was a long lost friend. The hot pastrami was delicious and I’d order it again easily. I’ve heard the brisket and corned beef are also good.
They capped off my meal with a shot of chocolate soda, which was quite unusual and a fun experience!
