The Wayfarer

My family and I had a fantastic New Years Eve Dinner here. It was one set price per person and included an appetizer, entree and dessert. The food was consistently fantastic across the entire table. We all loved it and would be back in a heart beat. Yum!

The Wayfarer was ok, but expensive. I suppose, though, that it’s not expensive for NY, but $24 for a sandwich & $24 for a burger felt high to me. (Might just grab a slice instead next time.) The food and wine list were good, but the service could use some improvement. It took a long time to get everything... drinks, food, the check, everything, and it felt as though they were doing us a favor to wait on us. We had the grilled chicken BLT, and a cheeseburger with no bun.

Wished I had taken pictures of the food. The presentation was excellent. Excellent service and fantastic food. The salmon, cauliflower, ricotta, olive dip with popups, and everything ordered were excellent quality. When returning to New York, we will definitely be returning here! Servers were awesome and kept our glasses filled with water. That was great because we had gotten dehydrated from sightseeing!

Nice venue. Plenty of staff...but not attentive to customer. No sense of urgency or timely service. Food delivered quickly..then cools off while waiting on accompanying essentials. Could use a better selection of music for.dining.
