I went here for restaurant week and it was the best I've tasted. Food was great, service waa great, friendly staff. I would definetly come again for round 2!!!!
Amazingly authentic Japanese experience in the middle of New York City. The only thing missing (thankfully) was sitting on the floor.
Food was delicious and reminded us off our time in Japan. The expert chefs make everything in front of you as you sit at the bar, then use long paddles to pass you each dish.
Really cool atmosphere and enjoyed the 5 course dinner. You're partially served by the chefs if you sit at the counter - I think this created a longer wait time and caught myself looking around for someone whenever I needed something. I would make a reservation for a table if I was to go again. They put on a little show hammering the dough for mochi which you can partake in and earn some for free which is cute and unique. Overall friendly, nice quality place.
Excellent Asian food. The place opens at 5 pm, and by 5:30 it was crowded. The waiters were cool and spent time talking to us. It is a bit pricey, but the food was delicious. We went there to celebrate a birthday and they made a special presentation for her. If you are into sushi and other Japanese style food, you should drop by.
