Boqueria

This is a tapas bar that does it well. Having lived in Spain everything was recognizable and well prepared. We sat at the kitchen bar. They are efficient and consistent. The smoked eggplant and peppers over yogurt topped with herbs was the most inventive and outstanding plate we tried. The lamb pinxtos were perfect. We would eat there again. If there was more creative license taken with more dishes I would give 5 stars.

Ate breakfast here on Dec 31st around 930am. They have a buffet where you can order off a menu as well. The place is very spacious and nice. The food was pretty good. Service was pretty slow though when it came to getting food. I'd understand if they were crazy busy and it was taking long, but the place was less than half full. The staff was very accommodating though and apologized for the long wait. We used free vouchers from the hotel next door. Normally this breakfast costs $30 per person and I think that's way too much for what you get here

Similar to another reviewer, my wife and I popped in without a reservation and got one of the best seats in the house facing the kitchen!

Walking through the restaurant, you could feel how good the energy is in this place.

Our server, Marcelo, was outstanding. From the moment we sat down, we felt welcomed and he gave some excellent recommendations. We ordered a paella which was definitely worth the 45min wait! We also had some incredible appetizers and drinks while the delicious paella was being prepared.

We would highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back!

We arrived on a Wednesday evening without a reservation and we were told they only have seats in the back, next to the kitchen... but they had no idea those are my favorite seats in any restaurant! To be able to see the chefs working, to smell the kitchen flavours, that makes any restaurant experience better! And what an experience it was! Every single dish we had was sublime and the dessert was a dream!
I've been to Spain many times, I had tapas in so many places that I cannot remember, but I think this restaurant serves one of the best tapas I the world!

Boqueria has many delicious authentic Spanish flavors. My two favorites are their croquettes and the bacon wrapped dates. Everything here is very good and they have an excellent selection of drinks. The pineapple sangria is my personal favorite. Their waiters and staff are excellent. I highly recommend making a reservation or you will be waiting over an hour.
