Damn this Google review thing can't score stuff higher than 5. The whole crew at Suteishi is amazing, and the resulting service and food quality reflects that. While not a local, I was in NY for 4 months working and I frequented this place nearly every week. Each time when I would do Omakase I would get different but super delicious selections. Seriously great fish, and some excellent sake selections
Great sushi, amazing service, romantic atmosphere. Would recommend!
We’ve lived in the neighborhood for years & walked by Suteishi several times & always busy. We made reservations for Christmas Eve & we had a very nice waitress, Gina who gave us good recommendations that we took. The food was excellent & fresh.
We will be going back for sure. I recommend Suteishi, the sushi & rolls were delicious!
The sushi here is very fresh and well presented. Prices are also very reasonable for the city. The staff is very friendly.
Takeout is very convenient, delivery also available (and not through Ubereats or other delivery service, but restaurant itself).
There is outdoor seating during washer months when does can be opened up.
When I went, my boyfriend and I were the only ones sitting at a table. There were a couple of people sitting at the sushi bar, but the restaurant was basically empty.
Yet, when we finished our food, the waitress was standing by the door the entire time and I felt her staring at us as if she was waiting for us to pay and get out. I know that many establishments in NYC are fast paced and usually want the guest to leave quickly. But the restaurant was empty, So I don't understand why I felt pressured to leave so soon.
The food was great, though.
