Food was great along with the hospitality and staff. Was also very easy to find a parking spot. Drove 20 miles to try it and it was definitely worth it!
This was our first experience at Clay Oven for lunch and we will be back. It is conveniently located in the Kimbrook Plaza at the corner of Routes 57 and 31, next to Tops. The buffet had numerous Indian specialties and was very affordable. Delicious food, pretty atmosphere, attentive, friendly service, and clean. Highly recommend!
We tried the clay oven last night and the food was phenomenal! We got 2 appetizers (shrimp and chicken), the cheese naan, lamb tikka masala and chicken Curry. The masala was the best we’ve ever had. Not sure what the crackers and dips were they served us at first but they were delicious. Also, the rice pudding- wow! We’re excited to go back and try more of the menu. Will be great when they get their liquor license. The service was a little slow but they just opened and they were SO busy, we didn’t mind waiting! It’s a must try.
Went for the buffet today for lunch with a friend. First time having Indian food, I can not wait to go back again!!! So much flavor, just the right amount of spicy for me and staff was so friendly! Thank you Jason and Kumal for being so nice, and good luck with the new restaurant. I will definitely be returning!
I have been eagerly awaiting the opening of this place since first seeing signs posted around the Tops plaza several weeks ago. I enjoyed lunch there today during their first day of soft opening and they did not disappoint! They are located between Tops Supermarket and Planet Fitness in a spot that was previously a sushi/hibachi restaurant and Appethaizing before that. The restaurant was already quite nice from the previous tenants who remodeled just a few years ago but closed before or during COVID shutdown. It’s spacious, well appointed, and very clean. Wait staff were friendly, abundant, and attentive. I enjoyed their lunch buffet. I’m so happy to have an Indian lunch buffet return post-COVID, many local Indian restaurants stopped offering buffets after the shut down. I am otherwise not a buffet enthusiast. In addition to the salad bar, there were several vegetarian and meat options, all were hot, tasted freshly prepared, and delicious. Basmati rice and vegetable biryani accompanied the entrees. The garlic naan was the best I have had. The owner was present and very friendly. He said their official opening will be sometime next week. I look forward to many meals here in the future.
