We were truly impressed with the food quality, Anastasia was an excellent server, the atmosphere was awesome along with the piano music. The espresso coffee and the mascarpone lemon cake was also delicious. We will sure be back. Thank you for the enjoyable experience. Luigi and Anna
Service was very good. Biggest shrimp in a shrimp cocktail appetizer I have ever seen. Some steaks were better than others. Entrees were a little pricey for Syracuse. Even high end Syracuse.
There is no question about the quality of the food--it was delicious. Two criticisms are what our group of four had. First, the service was somewhat lacking. We ordered a bottle of wine, but it took 15 minutes or so to arrive at our table. Second, the piano player in the bar was very good. He even came over to our table, as well as others, to introduce himself. (When we left, we gave him a nice tip.) The problem was with the unpleasant music that was being played in the dining room! Not only was it not dining room music, but it also conflicted with the bar music. We suggest that you use only the piano player and ditch the canned music.
We visited Stone's at 9 PM on a Snowy night. It looks like the weather kept it from being more crowded. The greeting was friendly. We had an attentive waiter. Our steaks were good and cooled perfectly. Coffee and desert were also good.
No complaints at all.
Stone's Steakhouse was an overall a great dining experience. The shrimp cocktail was superb. My husband had an excellent local Delmonico steak. I would have given a 5 star review however, the website and menu boasts of all meat coming from a local farm. That was not the case. I was very disappointed. The steak my husband had was local and a special but all other cuts were not. The salmon is farmed raised. Service was great and the atmosphere is romantic. I do hope they get back to local farm raised meat or take those claims off the menu and website.
