Lemon Grass Restaurant

We had dinner here with a college friend of his. We were lucky to be seated in the dining room to the right, which was less busy and much quieter. The food was fabulous! I ordered their famous tamarind duck which lived up to its reputation. I also had an amazing mango mojito. The three of us shared the chocolate lava cake, which was to die for. The wait staff were great and did not try to hurry us along, which made for a perfect evening.

This is not only the best Thai restaurant in Syracuse, it's one of the best restaurants in any category in Syracuse. Since the restaurant first opened in Mattydale nearly 30 years ago (before moving to its current Armory Square location), Max has been serving outstanding gourmet Thai food. Matching the quality of his food and his wife's desserts, the award-winning wine list is exceptional and the service is friendly and efficient. This restaurant has hosted our department's holiday party for many years and has been used to impress outside visitors we are trying to recruit to Syracuse. I would add that Lemon Grass is a must stop whenever my daughter returns from the West coast to her hometown.

Fine dining Thai and steakhouse. Higher price point than most Thai, but excellent quality. Fine wine list, thoroughly enjoyed the food and the wine. Pad Thai is excellent, dumplings were great. Famous for their artistic and delicious desserts, so save room.

We have enjoyed dining at the Lemongrass for many years — and it NEVER disappoints! From the ambiance, to the wonderful service, to the delicious food, it is always a favorite of our to stop in for an intimate dinner or to bring famiy and friends. The menu is varied with wonderful options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. Your server will provide options to the flavors and sauces offered and to the spice level. The wine list is outstanding, as well. One of the best restaurants in Syracuse — hands down!
