“Very friendly, food is fresh, excellent. My go to place for Italian food. Since I last posted this i ordered a pie their Bronx Bomber. They told me 30-45 min. I showed up at 45min. They forgot to make the pie. Instead of telling me they tried to hide it. I walked out, I would have taken something else. The next time, I called they put me on hold for at least 5 min. I hung up went somewhere else. The final time I went there, I ordered the Bronx Bomer again, read the beginning of this post, the same thing happened. I wasn't alone several others and there were a lot of people waiting for pick up were all having the same experience. That was it for me, I found a place up the rd i like better. They will never see me again.”

“The 3 star rating is for the "diner" feel, not the food, which is excellent. Two different friends recommended that we try this relatively new restaurant, so on a Sunday afternoon we did and were happy we did. The interior is bright and modern, with seven tables and a long bench type table, directly in front of the large TV, behind the bar. The staff was very pleasant and we couldn't help but notice how often the phone range for delivery and pick up orders. As always we started with Mussels, in a White Wine garlicky sauce that was delicious and perfect with the Garlic Bread that was on the table. Southwestern Grilled Cajun Shrimp Salad with baby arugula, shredded carrots, avocado and tomatoes in a roasted pepper vinaigrette is wonderful. Tortellini Nonna, Shrimp cheese tortellini, sun-dried tomato and sweet peas in parmesan sauce is wonderful. Wonderful is a good word to describe the food here. A good Pinot Grigio went well with our choices. The menu is large with many house originals, the prices are very reasonable, and the chef is very talented. This restaurant may be out of the way but it's definitely worth the trip, if you don't mind the lack of ambiance.”

“Blu is a local favorite of ours. My husband and I travel extensively and are fortunate to have the opportunity to enjoy dining in wonderful restaurants. Blu delivers that same exceptional experience right in our neighborhood. Their food is consistently delicious with high quality ingredients and the wait staff is very attentive and welcoming. We have pretty much tried most of their menu and have always felt delighted with the high quality they deliver. In addition to the food, their sauces are absolutely amazing as are their cocktails and wine menu. Blu also offers a perfect location with breathtaking and fabulous views of Lake Mahopac. In the summer, we enjoy coming into the restaurant on our boat. In the winter, the roaring fire creates a warm and cozy ambiance. We absolutely LOVE their menu so much that we decided to have our wedding ceremony and reception there this past October and could not have asked for a more perfect event!! Our guests are still raving about how delicious the food was and how well the staff managed and serviced our party. We had a cocktail hour, sit down formal dinner, open bar with well over 70 people and their service was absolutely impeccable! The owners, manager and chef meticulously and professionally worked through every detail with us to ensure everything went smoothly to make our event even more memorable and they over delivered!!! They were incredibly accommodating. Valet service also wonderfully managed the large volume of cars we had. I highly recommend Blu for any dining experience, happy hour and any special events (personal or business) you may be planning. We are looking forward to our next delicious meal there!”

“All of the side dishes I have had have been indescribably amazing. I love the mac and cheese, the creamed spinach, the mashed potatoes. The beer flights are great. I love the pulled pork and cornbread. My Mom had a grilled chicken and they just took a big piece of chicken and grilled it, it had no flavor so i would not get that if i were you.”
