“Went hear today for the first time to see Jimmy and the Parrots. Our waitress was on point and very sweet. Checked in on us, but not too much. The music was outstanding, but we knew it would be considering we’ve seen them before. Owner was present and very hands-on to make sure that everyone was having a great time. The owner and waitress were nice enough to buy us a shot before leaving, thank us for coming, and letting us know that bringing in great quality musicians was a priority. Even the bouncers and guys that worked the door very friendly and accommodating, and had a great conversation with them upon leaving. Shout out to Mike! Vanilla with chocolate sprinkles! It’s clear that a lot of time and effort is put into the details ranging from the food, the quality of the music, and the way the place looks and feels. Will definitely be going back and would highly recommend it as a must see if you visit Ocean Beach, Fire Island.”

“A Fire Island local here. Went here for a mother daughter dinner date. We had a wonderful time! Our food was delicious, and our server, Olivia, was super sweet, attentive and accommodating. I have spent a lot of time in Central America, and the jerk chicken entree was delightful. My mom had the scallops and pineapple dish, which we both agreed was fantastic. We then recommended the scallops to all of the adjacent tables, all of whom thought they were amazing, too! Our drinks were also lovely. This new restaurant and menu are a breath of fresh air for Ocean Beach and we look forward to returning to try more dishes!”

“I do stop here regularly to fill up don’t very often stay overnight there due to issues out of my control had too. Great staff very helpful friendly it’s a pleasure to go to a smaller truck stop where they have staff that care you pay real prices not like some of there greedy other larger truck stops where we pay double for showers and breakfast is made here fresh for you. Got a shower which was nice and then as I still had time sat and had breakfast nothing fancy but made fresh to order outstanding.”

“In an area devoid of good Chinese food, this place stands out as being better than most. It's not the greatest Chinese in New York, but it's close enough and tasty enough to kill the occasional craving. The customer service isn't fantastic, but the fact that any order regardless of size is ready in ten or fifteen minutes pretty much negates any major issues. In short, the food is alright, and it's done by the time I get there, and in an area that suffers from a lack of variety to begin with, it ain't half bad.”

“I love Hardy’s Bakery. Everything is fresh and delicious. If I lived in the same town as them I’d probably go broke because I’d be there all the time. My favorite items are the chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes and their breakfast sandwiches. I’ve ordered cakes from them and they are always beautiful and they taste great.”

“I ordered chips and guacamole as well as 3 empanadas, 2 beef and cheese and 1 buffalo chicken. I live 15 minutes away and the food was still hot when I got home. The guacamole had a great flavor and you could tell it was very fresh. It paired nicely with the not to salty but crispy chips. The 2 beef empanadas were a little oily but the outside was still hot and crunchy it didn’t matter. They also seemed to have a runny texture which I personally wasn’t a fan of, but the flavor was still phenomenal. The buffalo chicken empanada was also very flavorful. It wasn’t too spicy but had a great tang and sweetness as well as a little kick at the end. I will definitely be returning and will be trying their birria tacos!”

“Stopped in for a quick lunch on break. 🥐☕️ Staff was super friendly and helpful, plenty of seating, and set up is very cozy and inviting. They have a patio area with a lot of tree shade (not pictured) so you can get fresh air and enjoy. If I lived locally this would be a place I’d come to and work frequently. There were also a ton of fresh baked goods I had to stay away from for my waistlines sake. If I want to indulge, this would be a great place to start.”

“Bad service from the start. Disorganized and careless employees. I understand they're probably overwhelmed. But they need to be better prepared, because they had no chicken in the middle of dinner time. Waited way too long for two tender boxes, had to ask to get my drink filled while I waited. And when I finally did get the food the woman behind the counter looked like she was annoyed, I was missing both biscuits too but didn't bother going back for them. Not a good first impression for this place. Update: After giving them a second try, there was still a small wait on the food, but It was well worth the time. The tenders were delicious and Crispy, the fries and biscuits fresh. And that staff was friendly and considerate. They even gave us a free jambalaya for the wait. Very much impressed by the improvement from the first time I came here a few months ago. This place is a lot better option than the KFC down the street. 👍”

“We have this local place a try a few weeks ago and thought it was pretty good! The inside of the place for sure looks SO nice! Very nice atmosphere. And we got the regular round pizza - grabbed 2 large to feed 6 of us. We all thought it was pretty good pizza overall, but as soon as I lifted the boxes and felt how light they were, I knew they weren’t going to go as far as I hoped with 6 adults. Everyone agreed it was pretty good pizza. We may try again sometime. But we do like to get sheet pizzas, as 2 larges is just an overall worse deal always. So maybe sometimes when there’s just 2 of us.”

“Visiting from Boston and had the best breakfast ever. Don’t listen to the bad reviews from people that cannot even form a proper sentence. My group had pancakes, omelettes, sausage gravy, and the AMAZING homemade toast. Everything was delicious and not your typical greasy diner food. The owner Melanie was a delight and you can tell how hard she works. Food came out quickly and the coffee was very good too. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m visiting!”

“A mainly take out establishment. We purchased two fish fries . One with dirty rice and Mac and cheese. Both very good. The other fish dinner we had fried cauliflower and french fries. “Drove an hour to eat here as it is a new business. Guy was great that took our order. When we received our food they forgot our dipping sauce. So i went to the front to ask the staff for sauce. A young lady with pink hair couldn't care what i needed she just proceeded to inform me to step away from the counter, i was standing near the end waiting while my food was getting cold. She was rude and didn't care about what i needed. There was only the young man at the front register but about 6 to 8 people standing around in the kitchen area. I looked for name tags but didn't see anyone wearing them. This young lady was serving food to the tables as we watched her she didn't smile or ask if anyone needed anything. Just dropped the food and walked away. We will not go back to eat here. Sad point is our dipping sauces were listed on our receipt”
