“A new Penang hawker has opened in New York Food Court at Roosevelt Ave, Flushing. The assam laksa is good but a tad salty- but they add the side of hae ko( fermented shrimp paste) which is the authentic Penang style. Bak kut teh broth is good and not too salty which is good. The shrimp okra takes me back to the old local seafood street restaurants where the curry used is to stir Fry mud crabs or tastes like one of those dishes from a Nasi Kandar place. Worth a trip is you’re a Malaysian and feeling homesick.”

“This place is amazing!! The owner is so nice that he told us their new address at 135-24 40th street and even offered to meet us outside. The beef rice noodle is so delicious and reminds me soooo much of home. Two of my friends have nut allergy and they also accommodated that. Will definitely order again!”

“Love this place, one of the few places that still brings dim sum with carts. I came here and my entire party hasn't arrived yet, the host was very nice and understanding, told me she'll put me on hold and just let her know when everyone is here and she'll put us up next. The dim sum ladies were super nice too, they didn't have one of the dim sum dish I wanted, so they immediately went and made one fresh for me. Would def come again.”

“So GOOD. The Oceanic Boil sauce is fantastic. Bummer is they only give you a small metal cracker and a plastic fork so crab legs are a frustrating struggle. But it IS delicious, so worth bringing all our own metal utensils needed for a boil next time.”

“Actually i never visited this restaurant. But my parents took me there in old years where this location was usually a grocery store. We bought lollipops for me, an ice cream, and some grocery for our 1-2 week nourishing supplies to feed me when I was a child. One again, this restaurant location was usually our nearby grocery store when I and my parents and my babysitter lived in the Kent Victoria at Apt 4J. We lived in the apartment until August 2004. Then that grocery was packing up too, out of business. I remember the shade storefront was orange colored, with a shopping cart drawn in black composition, says Grocery shop, then was becoming a Deli store after the new Millennium year 2000. The time before we moved our home to somewhere else, I knew that place the deli had no Public restroom at all. The back of the store had only windows and just a wall with more bunch of stuff inside. So if that old deli store is still here in this location instead of Gabriel's Palace, I would rate them 3 out of 5 start because no bathroom, and sold too little choice of grocery stuff, but the clerk's attitude was nice.”

“This restaurant is amazing!! Decided to come and have dinner at this restaurant after seeing good reviews and pretty close to our house we decided to give it a try. The person taking everyone's order was extremely nice, seems like a small family run restaurant. The food kind of took long but this was due to the fact that it is made fresh and I will always wait longer for my food to be made fresh. I got the mixed grill it had a variety of meats and all were tender and tasted amazing and with some white and hot sauce made it even better. Another dish we got was the salmon fish, I don't even like fish or ever eat it but decided to give it a try, it was the first time I ever liked any fish dish. There was also turkish bread and it was so fluffy and tasted good. This place has great hospitality, great service and great food definitely will be returning again!”

“Great place that runs by great people. The most delicious Uzbek food. We will definitely come again. Only be careful when they so nicely offer you things to try, or even bring you food without asking, because they will charge you for everything:))”
