“Ed makes wonderful food and also is great to work with to plan and execute an event. Ed and the Arlington House staff catered our wedding in September. I was worried about the reception being held away from where the food was being catered from, but it all worked out seamlessly. The food was hot and delicious!!! Everything was better than we had expected, The food was amazing. We had all of our weddings guests asking who catered the wedding and many have since gone to the restaurant for dinner. Ed also catered my bridal shower at the restaurant and that also was great, The appetizer creations that Ed came up with were so good. The staff at both events was helpful and accommodating. We had such good experiences that we are having a birthday dinner catered at the restaurant coming up. We will definitely be using the Arlington House for many special events and catering when needed from here on out. Thanks to Ed and the staff for giving us a wonderful wedding reception. It is nice to stick with a local venue and give business to the area that we grew up in and that was important to us to incorporate our hometown,”

“The food was amazing and the staff was equally amazing. We happened upon this place while passing through New York during a visit from Texas. Pat, Patty and Ed were so hospitable and made us feel at home. Southerners know good food and this restaurant did not disappoint. Super friendly staff. And delicious food AND drinks. The HOMEMADE mozzarella sticks were our favorite, and the raspberry margarita was delicious. Great atmosphere for families... we visited with our kids and they loved it too. Don't miss out on this hidden gem. Stop in and enjoy a great time and great food! I'll be back the next time I'm passing through West Sand Lake!!”

“I went there for Mother's day brunch. The food that was warm was good but most of the options were cold. The staff were nice in that they did make a special hot order of one item that they ran out of. The atmosphere was nice also. I am sure if you ordered off the regular menu and the food was hot it would have been good but I would not attend a special brunch there again.”

“It's like stepping back in time if you're a veteran, but the food is better. The owner is a vet that is also a Culinary Institute trained chef. Very limited menu that changes daily. Pretty sure menu gets posted to one of the social media outlets. The seating is also limited. Might be able to sit 15 inside. I was told that tables are set up outside in the warmer months, but inside is where this place shines. Military museum-like, with patron donated mementos decorating the walls and military seating arrangement. Highly recommend a visit.”

“I loved my meal, crab pasta. The portion was massive and had it for two meals. My husband didn't like the meat pasta. For an upscale restaurant they really need to start paying attention to the details. Our table was really wobbly and annoying. The wall next to the table really really needs to be cleaned. There is no need to let it get caked with food splatter like that. The women's bathroom is falling apart and should be considered an embarrassment. Details should matter. Spend some time and money to fix this place up, it's already gone to far.”

“The Crooked Lake house has amazing craftsmanship and character! The fireplaces and rustic atmosphere make a superb dining experience. The beer selection at the bar was remarkable and would appease any casual drinker. The diverse menu selection and food was delicious. The only downfall was the 3 hour wait we sat at our table to enjoy our dinner. The server was excellent and accommodating to our every need. However, it was almost like they were still in wedding mode and not to couples who have a babysitter and want to head into town afterwards for a nightcap.”
