“The Modern is a North Fork staple that is no frills perfect. Everything is homemade and just awesome. When Peconic Bay scallops are in season, this is where I go to get them. The duck is great and the turnips are a must do. Try the pies, but don't pass up the Almond cake. Yummy!”

“Something a little different than your average fare. Similar to greek food but with more variety and spice. The grilled lamb chops were excellent and the deserts are an attraction all by themselves. Even the beer is from Turkey and remember to strain your after dinner coffee through your teeth or you'll get a mouth full of grounds. An eating experience!”

The burger may be one of the best on Long island and I love burgers! The service was great and atmosphere and location amazing. “Went for the lunch special, which was a great deal. About $10 for miso soup, and two rolls. Everything was pretty good. The resturant itself isn't too big, but it's nicely decorated and very clean. Note it shares a building with Taco Bout It next door. There's clear signing to find the correct entrance. Haiku is on Main Street side, but parking is in the back of the building”

“I rarely write reviews but felt this place really deserves it. Mom wanted to try someplace new for Mother's Day so we stopped by here for lunch yesterday. Not many customers which was surprising considering the number of good reviews. And they were not lying. The food was excellent with large portions. We ordered the chicken tenders and a grilled chicken sandwich with a side of corn nuggets and onion rings. Everything tasted great especially the corn nuggets! Service was also good and very attentive. Not sure if it is family owned and run but our server was the chef's wife and her sister. We will definitely be back. We found a new place for lunch :-). If you are looking for it, the entrance is off the parking lot along the river behind Main Street. The building sits on the corner of Peconic Avenue and the parking lot.”

Real milkshakes- homemade ice cream. Great spot for breakfast or lunch. ( Also open evenings at certain times.) Go back in time to when food was food.”

“I have never been to a restaurant that treats kids like real, paying customers... Well the staff at Tweeds did. This was our first time there but we were greeted like old friends. The restaurant is so warm and welcoming that I immediately felt at ease dining at a steakhouse with a six and a four year old, which can be stressful. The service and warm staff were already enough to win us over, and then came the food, fresh, amazing, tasty dishes. The scallops in brown butter were deliciously sweet. Our oysters perfectly cool and fresh. Entrees of salmon and elk prime rib perfectly cooked. Truly a great experience. Thank you Tweeds.”
