This restaurant is fantastic in so many ways! There's nothing even slightly bad about it, and there are so many good things. The owner is friendly, approachable, and really cares about quality. I've been going here since they opened in New Paltz, and the food is always absolutely divine. Their sausages are obviously amazing, but what really knocks them out of the park is their casing. You will never find a snap like that anywhere else! I believe that literally every element of their food is made by them - from the pickles to the pretzel buns to the fries. Everything is just amazing and so well crafted. One last thing to note: I would recommend ordering a side of saurbraten gravy no matter what you order. It is SO good!
I can never tell if this place is the best known or best kept secret in New Paltz. Their food is amazing and their beer selection is explicitly responsible for some of my now favorite beers. Service is always quick and kind. In the summer, the outdoor seating is plentiful and comfortable. Shaded tables are available as well as some in the sun. In the winter, the interior is warm and inviting. The food is heavy, hearty and delicious but they have light / vegan options available. I love that we have this place in the area.
Great Atmosphere, Great Staff, Beer is cold, fresh and unique. The Food is great will definitely return!
Great casual German inspired fare. Their craft beer menu is very well curated, and is definitely the highlight of any visit.
Fantastic burgers, a well-rounded selection of sausages, and fried pickles that are to die for.
The outside seating area is very comfortable, so if weather permits I would suggest requesting patio dining.
Dec 1...Leans toward a German style menu. Brewpub. Pleasant, cozy atmosphere. Lots of craft beers on tap, as well as the standard brands. Good, efficient staff. Menu is self explanatory. Military discount. Been there several times and will be going back.
