Surfside On The Lake Hotel & Suites

The room was ok it was nice to have refrigerator. Was a little disappointed that when I booked online I under the impression that I was getting a lake view not a parking lot view. Didn't realize that those rooms in winter are not available a bit disappointed. Room could have been cleaner found carrot and clothing on side of one of the beds. Informed front desk who said they would move me. At that point just cleaned it myself.

Good location in village. Walk to shops and food. Fairly clean and up to date rooms. Nice pool. House keeping could be better. Said they were under staffed. Had to call desk twice after returning to room which had not been cleaned. Immediately sent someone up. Refrigerator was not working upon arrival. Maintenance replaced immediately though replacement was smaller than original. Hallway and stair well could use some TLC. Quiet and family oriented. Overall happy with stay. Cabana bar is cool, but overpriced

I've been to Lake George 5 times. This was my first time at Surfside. It's the most family friendly hotel I've stayed at on Canada St. They offer paddleboat, paddle board and kayak rentals. Private pool. Private beach/lake area. Great breakfast buffet (a little pricey - $15 per) and very good snack bar offering everything from buffalo wings to burgers. Located right in the middle of Lake George Village. No more than a mile from anything. Our Lakeside room was perfectly fine. Big room, very clean, small kitchen counter with a microwave, coffee, refrigerator, toaster, ironing board. Different price levels of rooms based on wing. Lakeside is higher priced than standard room facing the parking lot. Not sure of the difference between the actual rooms besides the view. Prices are higher on Thu-Sun. Very nice place. Reasonably priced. Perfect for families. Would definitely stay again.
