“The portions were huge, everything was very good. We had the meatballs and shrimp cocktail for apps, meatballs were BIG and there was a lot of shrimp! Lasagna was very good as was the fettuccine, the only reason for the 4 stars is the cream sauce on the fettuccine was separating while I was eating it. I usually only see this while reheating.”

“Been in twice this week, the first for some fantastic hand crafted cocktails at the bar after dinner, and today for dinner itself. A well executed menu of German fare, which came out hot and fresh for a fantastic meal. Finished it off with some superb chocolate cake that is made locally. The staff is great, and owner was very engaging in conversation. All round a fun experience both times and I look forward to trying more of the menu next time.”

“Seems to be under new ownership. We visited Salem and this was recommended to us and we absolutely loved it! they have small tapas like plates - great for sharing while having wine and drinks. Cheese plates had local cheeses that were top notch! Everyone was super friendly and it was a true neighbor spot to feel welcome at! Walking distance to the Salem Art Works and all the local shops. Can’t wait to stop in again and see what they add to the menu! Brunch is on my mind!”

“Stopped in for the first time today.. hubby grab a slice and we ordered a gluten free four cheese pizza to go for me….OMG!! This was BEAT pizza I have had in the last 13 years of being Celiac) gluten free). The crust was a bite of chewy, crispy deliciousness. That sauce was amazing, I I usually ask for light sauce on a pizza, I could have dipped every bite in it… so good!! And the 4 cheese topping was perfection on a pie… WE WILL BE BACK!! The sauce, crust and toppings on their own were great, which is something that can't be said about very many places, especially locally. “Our waitress was fabulous! Food is eh...its palatable and presentable. My chicken parmigiana was like warm and the sauce and spaghetti below it was cold. The sauce ruined the crispness of the crispy chicken. The stuffed shells were warm to taste. The sauce lacked flavor, where were the garlic, basil, fresh herbs and aromas of Italian food. The meatballs were the most flavorful of the whole meal but the texture was of grocery store ones. My partner who's eaten at the Roma says the food is similar. I am not tempted to return.”
