“As this was the first time we have tried lunch at the Peekskill Coffee House we thoroughly enjoyed our soup and sandwiches even though I had turkey mushroom swiss crepe it was delicious. The turkey in my crepe was cooked to perfection moist juicy and tender I would recommend eating there most wholeheartedly. The only negative thing I could say is that I wish that there was table service as this is a self-service food venue. Keep up the great work see you soon.”

“The food is delicious and the drinks are tasty. The only problem we've had has been the forthcoming information from the servers when we are seated about the specials. The last few times we've gone in, the specials both on the board in the restaurant and the menu handed to us have been wrong regarding what was still available. But the service waits until you order it to tell you they are out, leaving you stuck to figure it out while the rest of your party waits. If they would tell you ahead of time, that option could be discarded right away and time would not be wasted.”

“One thing I will say about this place is immaculately clean. This goes for the restrooms too. The service was polite and very friendly. The food I ordered came very quickly, and it was of good taste and value. This is true for the times that I've gone there in the past. The young lady at the counter, when she didn't have a customer, was busy making sure that the tables were wiped down and clean. Her name was Joanna. They take Cash, Credit, and Debit, and they give a discount for Senior Citizens. The store is located in the Beach Shopping center in Peekskill, NY. There is ample parking with Handicapped Spaces. Also their bathrooms are ADA compliant.”

“The restaurant is very clean, and well lit, the service was good, but the food was OK. The selection is good, but it didn't Wow! Me. They didn't have steamed Dim Sum, and they didn't have New England Clam chowder. Other wise it was OK. Also the Seafood au Gratin didn't have any cheese on or in it. Also during lunch, (this is when I went,) they didn't have boneless Spare Ribs. (This review ^ was written in the Summer of 2018, when they first opened.) I went back on 2/20/2019 and GUESS WHAT??? They improved their selection 2 fold. They served all the things that I mentioned in a previous post . Their selection was Great! They had Seafood delight, with shrimp in a butter sauce, God, so good! Their service is good, and not pushy, also their music was soft, and quite, something to enjoy your meal with. They also give a discount for Senior Citizens.”

My favorite here is their chicken korma & garlic Naan bread, but really everything on the menu is amazing- you can see why at the buffet! “The food is very tasty and reasonably priced and you can be in and out in as little as 15 minutes; They also do take-away from the buffet at a per serving fixed price. For people with dietary considerations, THEY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IS IN EVERY DISH, and I mean far better than most places: there are gluten free, vegetarian, fish/meat free, diary free options (ghee is technically diary, though better tolerated by some). Numerous dishes include nuts (cashews, almonds & I think peanuts; BUT that's it nut wise (ask) & they do know exactly which ones). While not the finest Indian food I've had (70, up to 85%-ish; occasionally they absolutely ace a dish or two: Among the best Chettinad dishes I ever had was here), both the evening a la carte & the buffet are the best Indian food in the area (if you know of better, or even as good, please post). The staff are a subdued-polite, ' sometimes seem distant, until you get to know them: Then they are openly friendly and engaging. The restaurant is neat, simply decorated & reasonably clean. They are somewhat reluctant to seat people late in the buffet session -at least those whom they don't already know how long it takes ' to eat- so, if they don't know you already, consider showing up with at least half an hour until the buffet end. They only have mango syrup Lassi; no salt, or sour Lassi (that is sad). There is a good selection of chutney and pickle at the very simple salad bar. There are always two choices of rice: plain and a variable flavored rice to keep regulars interested. The spices are ground on premises, and you can smell and taste the difference: the seasoning is VERY well done here. The vegetable dishes are so subtle but flavourful that you really don't miss the meat at all. The Vindalu is -of course- quite spicy (don't bother, if you don't at least like quite spicy Mexican, Thai, or medium chicken wings), but not like some places where it is physically painful (they are happy to give you a hot pepper to spice it up). Solid, earthy (sometimes indistinct) curries with a nice selection of goat, fish, chicken, dal and vegetables round out the menu. The Nan is good and fresh. Day to day the desert ranges from simple/plain to rich and is usually good though often not to American tastes. The buffet is distinctly better earlier in each session. The evening a la carte is a distinctly more refined food preparation experience with many more menu choices. Note: Customer experiences are varied here and it has a lot to do with different cultural expectations, but my family consider this place and it's long term staff, a local treasure.”
