“First impressions always set the tone of a location. Too many elderly drunk patrons in the front of the location just drinking and being loud. Unpleasant to new customers and much less couples. Service was good, unfortunately very hard to hear the waitress since the music is blasting thru the speakers. Ordered Pork Belly Ceviche and Tu Te Atreves App. Pork belly took quite some time. Tu te atreves was awesome and truly tasty. Pork belly ceviche was the tu te atreves chopped up. Ordered Lomadito and Pescado del Día for entrees. Lomadito was too salty and tasted like Soy Sauce. Rice on both plates was atrocious and subpar for a Latin restaurant. Fish was decent size. Tostones had a nice waffle imprint which was different. Dulcadito de Coco was awesome. Guayabito was horrible. All in all this place needs to focus on its food service and taste. Supposedly co-owned by a renowned chef. Not sure he’s stepped foot in the place !!!”

This cozy restaurant was once called Brownies Restaurant and Bakery, the food was excellent. But new owners took over and renamed to Pantojarse Restaurant and Brakery. Then the food wasn't to it's best, and the service was extremely slow, and cash only. I am assuming a new owner took over again, remained it to Makondo Restaurant and Brakery. The food return to its delicious flavors, one dish better than the other. Many updates including seating arrangements, paying methods, digital orders. A true diamond in the rough!”

Specials were yummy and so were the entree and cocktails. I wouldn’t say It was phenomenal and highly recommended but It was a nice casual dinner. No complaints at all. Cocktails were okay. The Socrates was really good; has a sweet hint in the end. The fig cocktail and mule were okay. Overall, enjoyable casual dinner. Recommend It . Great great location and ambiance inside. I didn't expect the food to be so good, since the focus is obviously on music, but it was excellent. It's an excellent night out, I was so happy. “Food is great here, but don't order through ChowNow! Even though they said "no service fee", their service fee is already embedded into the price of each item. We used to order through ChowNow all the time because it's the first channel available when clicking into Order Pickup, but just noticed it today that their price is 5%~15% higher than Postmates for most of the items. Nevertheless, bagels are always delicious here, with a huge selection of varieties. Sliced Nova with cream cheese bagel is one of our favorites. Even a simple egg bagel with strawberry cream cheese is exceptional.”
