“While we didn't eat at Josie's we so enjoyed their Animal Adventure mini golf! The area is so beautifully landscaped (we love the lights at night!) and the course is fun and challenging but not impossible. It made for such a perfect date night that I ended up telling my fiancé that I'd like to go each time we come to Washington from now on!”

“New to NC, we found the Washington Crab and Seafood Shack. Locally fresh seafood at affordable prices. It ain't fancy, but it doesn't need to be. It's a bit more than a shack, but yes, it's very casual. Isn't that what a crab "shack" should be? They also have a local seafood market located downtown, which we discovered and love!!”

“Delicious food & drinks with friendly service. They will make food to order of you want something a little different than the menu's description. Lunch & dinner specials every day, not to mention Taco Tuesday! The restaurant is small, but they handle large parties well. An excellent choice for Mexican food.”

“Food is always good. Daily specials are worth trying. Got the grouper basket on a Friday night. Hot and fresh with plentiful portions. It's a busy place but servers are hustling and food comes out relatively quick.”

“I had the "Carolina Girl" Burger and it was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. The chili they put on it WAS the best I've ever had on a burger without question. The waitstaff was fantastic. We had a young man and it pains me that I can't recall his name, but he was absolutely the best of the best. If I wasn't broke he'd have got a much bigger tip out of me. My next time there I'll be sure to tip him again, even if he's not serving us. My kid got mini corn dogs that were WAY tastier than I thought they'd be and he polished his plate which absolutely shocked me. This place was a stunner for sure. I can't wait for my next visit when I'm in town. The menu is bananas in all the good ways, there's going to be something you'll want to try. Do yourself a favor and visit when you can.”

“Picture may not be too decadent, but the meal itself was fabulous. If you are passing through to Atlantic Beach or looking for a nice B&B, Washington, NC is a pearl. This was probably one of the most tender rib eyes I have ever had. The first time I've ever ate a twice baked potato and it was delicious. There is also an all you can eat salad bar that comes with your meal free of charge if you purchase an entree. What you cant see is that the restaurant is right next to the water. Beautiful location and the folks here are super welcoming to visitors. It's been added to my list of places to go back to.”

“The Hackney is a very elegant restaurant. High Tea was excellent! One would think that tea sandwiches and dainty desserts would not fill one up but we were delightfully surprised. Everything was delicious! Very nice selection of teas. All four we tried were quite good. Highly recommend this restaurant.”

“Very reasonable price. Food was delicious. A few variations from what I'm used to, like their Cuban sandwich, wrong type of bread and I've never had pineapple on one before. Flavor still good, just different.”

“A nostalgic ice cream shop with a simple menu. ???? This place takes cash only. ???? I do think it's odd that no prices are listed. ???? We've only ever ordered ice cream. Quick service, fair prices, great stop for a sweet treat. ????”
