I was happy to find a winter friendly outdoor patio at a place with finer dining, but while our food and drinks were fantastic, the service was subpar. Our server, Melissa, was off putting from the beginning, was impersonal, and didn’t seem to know the menu very well at all. She wasn’t able to give invested answers on our questions about the menu and we ordered the London Fog cocktail which lists coconut creme on the menu, but tasted like dairy. When we asked if it had dairy in it, just for clarity, Melissa responded “I imagine so.” Overall the restaurant itself was nice and accommodating, but we would have loved to have good service to accompany the visit.

Soup was great, goat cheese was very good as well, but the T-bone steak was bland and tough.. I had to ask for salt. It also came out over 30 mins after my husbands chicken entire and fries so instead of the kids sharing the T-bone with me as I originally planned they ate all of his food and he left hungry... he doesn't eat red meat. By the time the steak was done the girls were full. I had one piece and it was very disappointing. We kept it to give it away to a homeless person. I was hoping it would be worth the wait but it was not. Also they expect you to wear and mask at your table not just while walking through the restaurant. Not a conformable way to enjoy lunch/dinner

SENSATIONAL and absolutely mouth-watering. My newlywed wife and I walked to Rhubarb from our hotel in Asheville, and we couldn't have been more mesmerized by our fantastic, delectable, perfectly cooked dinner, combined with the attentive, personable, and kindly professional service provided by our server, Vanessa.

We had an excellent meal together, which was largely nurtured by the upscale and warm atmosphere that Rhubarb works so tenaciously to provide. Our meals were both cooked to perfection — the fresh, locally sourced flavors in each dish were paired so intelligently that each bite was a practical symphony of color, aroma, and texture that was incredibly pleasing to the senses.

If you're looking for a refined, unbelievably fresh and unique dining experience that will far exceed your expectations, choose to dine at Rhubarb!

I very much enjoyed my dinner at Rhubarb the other night. They had just reopened after a longish closure due to the pandemic. I felt perfectly comfortable dining outside on the terrace. All necessary health protocols were in effect. My steak was cooked perfectly. Loved the pimento cheese fritters as an appetizer. Not inexpensive. Service was good. Definitely recommended.

Only had appetizers and wine. Good atmosphere.
