Blunt Pretzels

Sorry that I didn’t know about this place till recently - up until now, I hadn’t really found a great pretzel in the Asheville area and would have told you the best soft pretzels were at Sam’s Club!

The owner is from Germany, and brought his recipe and technique with him. These pretzels are the real deal, featuring a mildly crunchy, salty malt-brown exterior and a soft, dense, stretchy-chewy interior that’s just waiting for a dip of Lusty Monk mustard or one of their excellent beer-cheeses.

The interior is airy, bright and fun, and there’s ample outdoor seating. Parking is easy and free. Knowledgeable, friendly employees will help ensure you have a great time.

Awesome pop up at New Belgium. Berty (who ran the pretzel stand) rules. Can’t wait to visit the Swannanoa location!

This place is great. Delicious pretzels, nice selection of brews on tap Board games, fun biergarten tables inside and out, plus a changing table for the littlest ones. #bonus. Staff is super-pleasant, and might even join you at the ping pong table. Don't miss it!

Eddie, the owner, makes a really mean 🥨. It's super cool inside, as you can see the food being made as you eat / drink. Great space, great pretzel, good beer too. What a fun and original business.
