1841 Cafe

I would have given them 5 stars but was a but pricey for a burger.
The staff was knowledgeable able the food, restaurant history and the area. My waitress was a very nice young lady. I went in not having a very good day and she had me walking away with a smile. Kinda down i sat in a booth just waiting my turn, she walks up to me says it's your lucky day, and she opened a box that had handmade creme puffs in it, i reached in and picked one. Although this seems like a small thing but on this day it was huge to me.
Food was good but a bit pricey.

Thank you to the young lady that noticed I needed a warm smile!

Not enough local businesses have warmth that people need when you come in.

I loved the atmosphere of this little restaurant! I could really tell that there was attention to detail on the menu and they seem to have some really great ideas for food combinations that are fresh and not something you see everywhere. That being said, I think there is some room for improvement. I would definitely go back and highly recommend their egg rolls with a Southern twist!

Menu offers a nice selection and food is very good. Bar offers a broad selection of tap and bottled beer. Some forms of entertainment is offered most evenings

Update January 2019
It appears that this business is changing focus fro dinner items to sandwiches. Used to have a great shrimp and grits dinner. Now it is just ordinary. Party of 3 each ordered a different burger. Non of us thought it to be very good. Two of us ordered pub chips and the other fries. The fries were excellent but both orders of pub chips were under cooked and inedible.

The food is good, when you get it. The thing is you never know here. I have been waited on quickly at times, then at other times I have had to walk out, currently I have been waiting over thirty minutes for food. I know it is a busy Christmas season, and things can't always be helped, but I equally have plans that are now being pushed back. The good thing about this restaurant is the wait staff. They are nice.
