Mi Molcajete

This should be your new go-to spot!! Topnotch service, foods, drinks, and management. I cannot recommend this restaurant more!!

I was passing through for a work trip. Ordered the Molcajete (pictured). Wow… just wow. Such great flavor and SO authentic. The margaritas were fantastic as well. I had to order a second one!

And the atmosphere and ambiance were just amazing. I sat in the window and people watched as I enjoyed this fabulous meal. And the wait staff were so helpful! I kept getting checked on and had great conversation with them as well!

10/10 no doubt. Please go check them out! And an added bonus… want dessert? They own a great ice cream store next door too! You won’t regret it!

Me my wife and daughter came here for after school supper 1/6/23. We started out with chips and salsa and ordered the chunky guacamole. Everything was fresh and delicious, the guac was not salty so you could add as much salt as your taste desires. The salsa was delicious and the chips were also. I ordered the baby back ribs with rice and refried beans, my wife ordered the carnitas and my daughter got the chicken burrito with chipotle sauce. Everything was delicious and we can't wait to go back! The service was excellent and was treated with dignity and respect. This place is a hidden jewel in Downton Lenoir, I hope it's there to stay as it's my favorite Mexican place to eat at!

Ordered the molcajeta and it’s such a great value! A large dish with fluffy rice, dressed lettuce, and some amazing beans as the sides. Some fresh made corn tortillas on the along the mortar bowl filled with chicken, steak, shrimp, and chorizo proteins. The flayed pepper in the middle is beautiful and delicious. My only critique is that since the steak is cut so thin and being served in a cold plastic bowl the meat cooled down pretty fast and hardened quicker than anticipated, yet still flavorful. Definitely a gem in Lenoir and I can’t wait to go back and try something else!
