Los Mezquites Mexican Grill

This was our first time here an it was all around, a great experience. The food was far better than average. The slow roasted carnitas was fantastic and the shrimp used for the fajitas were quite large, fresh and perfectly seasoned. Our server was very friendly and perfectly attentive. It's a shame some people give negative reviews based on slow service the first week a business is open and when they're figuring out their process. Definitely give this place a try. We'll most certainly be back.

Hit this place up on opening weekend. Stuck true to our mantra of "go early, go hungry" and arrived with a family of 4 Sunday night around 5:10. Good thing we did, because the place was flooded not 15 minutes after we sat down. For new staff, at a brand new restaurant, my bar was already pretty low. I was surprised that we were greeted and seated right away, the server was very attentive, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. As I said, the place was packed - lots of locals like us eager to check out the first restaurant opening in The Villages of Sherrills Ford. I have a feeling we'll be back many times. Also a bonus - the local elementary school started a Spanish immersion program this year, so lots of 5 and 6 year olds excited to test drive their new Spanish, and our server was very gracious and patient helping him find the words to order in Spanish. Love this place. It’s the brother to Casa Garcia that is in Denver I’m just so glad we don’t have to drive that far for amazing Mexican food at a great price! Amazing service and great staff. We went closer to closing time so our food came in five minutes or even less and it was an amazing cooked meal. The manager even made time to teach me a little Spanish! My new favorite go to place.
