When we finally got the food, the burger and summer salad were fantastic! The pizza was just okay. We'll order dinners from there again. Also, none of the staff wore masks and I wish they did.”

“We have now been 3 times. Good italian food cooked with care and well presented. The staff is growing and is very nice. Enjoyed the different soups and specials but the salmon on veggies is my favorite. Desert was awesome as well! Its on our regular rotation now as its one of the best places on our beautiful 'quiet side'.”

“I went with my father on their third day open, five days ago. The staff was friendly across the board. The inside felt a little stale/boring, it has no personality. A little more decor would help. The food; Dad had the biscuits & gravy, which he seemed to really enjoy but they had little gravy for the size of the biscuits, but they happily gave us more and said others had mentioned more gravy was needed as a staple for the biscuits, which they agreed. I had the country fried steak & eggs, the flavor was good and I did like it but the piece of steak I had was tough and as a matter of personal opinion it too could have use about 2 tablespoons more gravy on it. The side of grits were very good. Update; went back tried the country fried steak & eggs again. No improvement on the steak. I also tried Black&Blue burger, I couldn't taste the blacken in the burger, but despite that it was fine. My overall thoughts of Garfield's, basic food with nice flavor but not worth going out of your way for.”

“This place has been a staple of the area for decades. One of those few remaining family owned fish camps in the area. Very quaint and cozy with no frills decor... But the food is as Southern Fish Camp good as it gets. The homemade tartar sauce is thick and chunky (which I like.). The food is served hot and fresh.”

“Your basic local hangout. Has Buffet breakfast or order off the menu. Comfort food. Friendly help. Omelette at $8 was good deal. Thin slice of salty ham at almost$5 not such a good deal. Salsa on omelette added .50 to bill, first time I was ever charged for salsa. Open for breakfast and lunch.”

“This is one of the last real steakhouses. The food is always great and is a good value for the money. The salad bar is outstanding. The place has a vibe of the old west and is a great atmosphere overall. The servers are always friendly and the steaks are always cooked right. Most nights they have a pretty big crowd and it is best if you get there early. It is well worth the wait.”

“Love this place. It’s the brother to Casa Garcia that is in Denver I’m just so glad we don’t have to drive that far for amazing Mexican food at a great price! Amazing service and great staff. We went closer to closing time so our food came in five minutes or even less and it was an amazing cooked meal. The manager even made time to teach me a little Spanish! My new favorite go to place.”

“So Boss Hog changed management and/or ownership sometime in 2018. We’ve lived in Sherrills Ford about four years and had an entirely unsatisfactory experience at Boss before the change. What a difference! Don’t get me wrong. My observation of the old Boss was a very popular joint that, based on the look of the place-inside and out—was not appealing. I guess the BBQ was good, we didn’t think so, but it was a no frills place. The new Boss hasn’t changed in size or shape but it’s way more appealing in its appearance. It’s still a no frills BBQ joint but it doesn’t inspire apprehension walking in the door. By the way, the food is excellent; the Shrimp PoBoy is loaded with shrimp, the Pork and Chicken are top notch. Service is quick and friendly. Here’s to Boss Hog, fine dining it isn’t, fine food is absolutely is.”
