“Outstanding food and Service!!! We drove 35 minutes out of the way on our trip to try it. The side dishes were top notch comfort food...The main course was beyond sweet, tangy and wipe your bread in tasty. At the end I tried the chocolate pie and had to stuff my belly to the brim to finish it. But it was definitely worth it...the pie tasted as good as my grandma's chocolate pie from my childhood. I haven't been able to have pie that good since she passed away. DEFINITELY A MUST DINING EXPERIENCE!”

“So’s is the most authentic Chinese I’ve had in over a decade! It is clean and the food is fresh! The shrimp is jumbo size and the hot and sour soup is the best I’ve ever had. That includes 3 extensive trips to mainland China and Hong Kong. Can’t believe I have to drive up from Atlanta to discover this gem.”

“My wife, two friends and I went to the casino in Murphy. We wanted to stop on the way home for dinner and I suggested Rib Country. We have driven past it many times in the past but never stopped. This time we stopped here for dinner and glad we did. My wife and I travel a lot visiting my BBQ joints around the country, BBQ is my favorite food. I have to say this was not the best BBQ I have eaten, but it is in my top 10. As for the review of our meal, we split the rack and a half with greens and coleslaw. My wife had the greens and said they were good. I had the coleslaw and it was large cut and plenty of dressing. It was nice and crisp with a good taste and texture. And now for the ribs. We like then, the meat was cooked nice, they were meaty and tender. They had a good flavor to then and were served at a good temperature. My wife and I almost always split a dinner, sometimes we leave feeling a little unsatisfied. Not with this meal, we both enjoyed a good amount of food even though it was a dinner for one person. Rib Country is going to be a stop on our future trips to Murphy.”

“First time eating here and we were so pleasantly surprised. I would expect to find a restaurant of this caliber in Knoxville, but not Murphy North Carolina. Personally, I think it’s better than red lobster. Our waitress was also the baker and her desserts are mouthwatering. No frozen food here, Top notch cook and top quality food. A 30 minute drive for us, but well worth it. Great place to bring a date or celebrate an anniversary. Small quaint and cozy. Superior food and service. These people really take care and pride in what they do. Highly recommend.”

“We have seen this restaurant many times while visiting Murphy but never had the opportunity to stop. Before leaving after a wonderful week, we made one last stop here for breakfast. We were able to be seated immediately in a large booth that held our family. The waitress greeted us immediately and was so quick to bring our drinks and gave enough time to peruse the menu so we could read it over carefully. Once our orders were taken, it wasn't more than 10 minutes before we received our food. The waffles were perfect, steaming hot and crispy brown. The rest of the food arrived just as fast - just right bacon, perfectly cooked eggs, delicious hash browns and hot buttered toast that was just the right addition. I couldn't get over the speed with which it all arrived, and not one bad serving of food. Everyone loved this meal and there wasn't a single complaint. If you're looking for a reasonably priced breakfast spot that everyone in your group will love, this is the place to go... definitely 5 stars for the amount of food, prices, friendly staff.... I'll go back every time we are in Murphy!!”

“Friendly folks. A busy little spot. No indoor seating but there are outside tables. Plenty of parking and some of it is covered. The reason for the four stars is that we ended up with cheese on our burgers when we said no to cheese. The sweet tea was great. We were on the road so did not give them the opportunity to correct the order.”

“Love captain D's. The food is delicious. The fried white cod, with shrimp, Mac n cheese, and broccoli is worth every bit of the drive. I enjoy going in there and spending some quality time with family and enjoying some delicious food. Highly recommended. I honestly can't get enough of captain D's.
