The Chelsea

We had lunch at The Chelsea and it was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was so kind. We had the fried green tomatoes (my favorite food of all time) and they were to die for. I followed that with the BLT (like I said, fried green tomatoes FOREVER) and it was perfect. The house chips are crisp and delightful. The setting of this restaurant is so charming. We had lunch among a room full of southern women celebrating another trip around the sun and it made me wish I lived here and could also grow older while eating the fried green tomatoes on a regular basis. Highly, highly recommend The Chelsea.

The food was AMAZING!! I will definitely return when I come back to New Bern!! I got the Chelsea Burger with egg! Oh. My. God. I loved every bite. The service was outstanding. my glass was never empty which was awesome! I highly recommend The Chelsea!!

Food is always excellent, service is great, and the location cannot be beat. If you have a chance to eat upstairs, you have lovely views of the river, courthouse and churches. Downstairs the tribute to Pepsi mural is wonderful. And they serve Pepsi products too. Great local support.

Food is fantastic, definitely enough variety for the whole family to enjoy. They successfully deliver numerous options while still maintaining attention to detail and careful craftsmanship of the food. An amazing corner location lends itself to an outside cafe style seating if the weather is right or pull up a bar stool at the mirrored and brassed decorated bar nestled under the stairs beside their regular seating. But the real magic is the formal upstairs seating option. Great food, great price. You wont be disappointed.

Delicious food and service. Nice ambiance, a tad loud as it filled up with happy families. Kids loved the pasta and sauce. Large portions great for next day leftovers. Very southern sweet tea (read: very sweet!)
