The Paper Canoe

I don't know how our dining experience at Paper Canoe could have been better. Our Chefs Whim seafood trio appetizer of shrimp, crab and lobster salad was divine. My husband's flounder and my scallop entree were probably the best I've ever had and the icing on the cake was their sumptuous key lime pie. I appreciated the artistry of the dishes and thanks to the owner for NOT putting a tv at the bar area. Make reservations before you go.

With out doubt the best place we ate at during our 5 day stay. We had a party of 6 with no reservations, but towards the end of the evening. Everyone remarked how well prepared the food was, great attention to detail. Great wait staff and good drinks. Make reservations :)

Some of the best food we have had anywhere. Fast, friendly service with a great atmosphere. We had the fried oyster appetizer, scallops and shrimp and grits for the meal. All were perfect. Will be back each time we vacation in OBX.

Good quality food well prepared and presented with lovely and accommodating wait staff. Comprehensive bar and a decent little wine list. We go for dinner several times each trip to Duck and have never been disappointed.

Luckily got in with two people without reservation, and had a great meal. The bar area has a nice view of the sound, and they offer a good selection of NC brews. Small menu but I'd say there is something for everyone here.
