“Hands down the best soul food I had in awhile! My family and I frequent various restaurants in the triad area and recently returned from Kj's soul food and loved it!! The quality of food is authentic and really tasty. I had the chopped steak and collards and it reminded me of a nice home cooked meal! It wasn't overseasoned or greasy and the portions were just right. Customer service is another important dining experience for me. Upon entering the restaurant they were so friendly and hard at work. I have a newborn and a very chatty child, not only did they chat with my son; they wanted to be sure my newborn was okay with the volume of the music. While waiting for our food we saw the wait staff checking on customers and wiping tables down. My family and I will be back! Make the drive and try them, you'll end up as regulars!”

“We got 2 chilli hot dogs all the way, the pimento cheese burger and onion rings. Also 2 individual hot dogs for my pups. All of us throughly enjoyed! The onion rings were cooked just right, pimento cheese tasted phenomenal and babe rated the chilli dogs 8/10! We do recommend. Very friendly people and didn’t take long to cook. Was all around $25. Although as of this moment they said they only take cash or cashapp.”

“We ordered chicken sandwiches, chicken pilly sub and a BLT all with fries. Everything was prepared after we ordered, so everything was good and hot. The chicken on the sandwich was huge. There was enough that is could fit on a sub roll. The chicken was crispy and tender, just like the fries. We were very pleased with this locally owned new restaurant. There are items that are not on the menu and changes from day to day, like specials. We will be back every time we go to Forest Lakes campground.”
