“First trip since it opened. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. The menu has a wide verity on it. Currently they are waiting on their license so no beer yet. We both loved the food. It was served hot and quickly. I can highly recommend this place. We will be returning.”

“This is sort of a plain dinner in Angier. When I visited last week they didn't have their liquor license, so no beer. A couple of months ago I had the patty melt. It was bad -- the cheese was undetectable. No melt in the patty melt. On my most recent visit I got the Philly sandwich. This was very tasty! For the side I got the seasoned fries, which I would recommend over the regular fries. I'm told the Rueben is very good and others liked their catfish.”

“It doesn't get much more authentic than this! However, if you're looking for low-fat low-calorie food I would suggest you go somewhere else because even their Frijoles are made with lard!”

“Just moved near Angier and this is the best pizza I have found since moving to NC 7 years ago. The crust is just right, not too thick or thin. The sauce is the secret here, delicious! And the service is top notch! Highly recommend!”

“Breakfast here is good and fast. Nothing fancy, but the restaurant inside is super cute. Sunday's is only a few items, not the regular menu. I wasnt as impressed, never been on a Sunday because I usually work. It will be noted that we just wont come back on a Sunday, keep it to weekdays and Saturday.”

“Great family friendly local restaurant. Despite a full house, wait staff and hostesses remain patient and hospitable. Food is standard American fare with turkey burgers a specialty.. I appreciate fried okra on the menu. Restaurant tries to source local to the extent possible.”

“The best! New in town and on our 43rd anniversary. Tired this place out and found it to be such a treat. Great service and so friendly. The shrimp corn chowder and Rachel Reuben was delicious. Thank you so much also for a special dessert that was homemade. My husband's favorite!”

“We tried this place today for the first time & it was DELICIOUS! The pulled pork was moist & flavorful! The sides I chose were just as good too. My plate came with so much food! Everything was seasoned well and the Martin roll was perfect for my husband's sandwich. The staff & owner were all very friendly as well. We definitely recommend this place & will be back.”

“The service was great, and everyone was very friendly from the moment we walked in the door. I do wish that we had gone earlier in the day... 6:30 on a Saturday night may not have been the ideal time to try to the fresh meat. The two of us chose the Taste of Texas sampler, which came with enough food for at least one more person, or maybe two adults and two children. We did get the last of the sliced brisket, and it was my favorite of the meats, cannot recommend that one strongly enough! The ribs were hard to get any meat off of, which was a bit of a bummer and the hot sausage had good flavor, but was also a bit tough to chew. As far as sides go, the green beans were awesome, and the potatoes enjoyable, although closer to a fry than a red potato (which was fine!). Corn pudding was decent, but I think I'll try the mac and cheese or hash brown casserole next time around. For a typical bbq spot, this probably would have been a 3-3.5 star visit, but I'm taking into account the lateness of the day. Will give it a shot again for lunch!”
