Melange Bed & Breakfast

Yes yes yes!! Homey atmosphere, AMAZING breakfasts, comfortable beds!

Wonderful place to stay. Breakfast has spectacular. Everyone was incredibly polite and made sure we needed nothing. This is a romantic getaway spot for my wife and I.

Lovely older home. Our suite Azela was large . Had a queen bed in 1 room & a king in the other. Bathroom was large & had a grand shower. Bedding was fine. We felt not enough comfortable seating especially to sit & read. There were no extra blankets. There was a small balcony overlooking back gardens. My friend celebrating a birthday and they did provide a lovely strawberry dessert cake. This was a very nice touch. Lovely room for breakfast. You had a set time to eat. I would have loved coffee when I got up but all that was in our room was Folger coffee bags that you put in hot water. Went down down to get cup coffee to take back to room & none out. Could not find anyone to ask about coffee either. I am used to warm & friendly service & hot coffee available in the a.m. Our breakfast first course each morning was a pastry sort of item & both days were very delicious. The 2nd course egg dishes were not. No breakfast meats. Both mornings eggs were lukewarm at best. And to top off they took coffee away while we were still sitting & enjoying our time together the first morning. Guess it was time for us to leave. I am not sure running this B & B is a top priority. Perhaps there are circumstances I am not aware of. A number of us travel together and we had stayed in a number of B & B.s. over the past 2 months. Breakfast is usually such a pleasant experience. We get to know others staying, etc. I would say if you are in town & it is busy things would probably be better. We were evidently there in an off time as 1 night we were only guests. Truly though it should not matter if there is 1 room reserved or many. Prices don't change so service should be the same. This was truly a lovely older home. There was easy access to downtown although you might want to drive & park in downtown area. We were in town to do some holiday shopping & knew we did not want to walk back with shopping bags. This B & B furnished in Victorian area style. They did have a garden area and a small event space on property.

Beautiful property, lovely and helpful staff. Giving 3 stars because there's a fair amount of mold which is a health hazard.
