Went to Dajios last night for the first time since their new ownership. Food was outstanding! Calamari, steak, blackened, fish, and french fries were all delicious. Our server, Cole, gave us exceptional service. And, of course, we love the music by Brooke and Nick!
What a great place this is. Wife enjoyed her fish tacos immensely and I have to say the burger I had was incredibly fresh and tasteful. Do not know how they prepare their meat, but this was the best burger I have had in years, and I have eaten quite a few during that time. Right of the main road near the ferry. Service wS very friendly. If in the area, consider giving this place a shot at pleasing your palate.
Good experience, close was listed at 9 and we showed up at 8 but it definitely felt like we were showing up too late for dinner.
The bar area was nice and the music was spot on for location but keep in mind if you are seated outside there appears to be a single bathroom. I imagine when the outside is crowded from the bar there would be competition between a dinner crowd and a bar crowd for the single stall. We are here off season so it wasn't bad.
The menu is good for the island, don't be fooled the crab Mac and cheese was far better than the photos give credit, the oysters were very enjoyable. Pricing is what you should expect for a vacation spot, market price would equate to a $30 minimum and you should expect that, drinks are priced for vacation as well.
Overall a good spot from the places we tried, would recommend for early dinner or later evening entertainment and food.
Two nights on the island, both were spent at Dajio.
Night one, we walked in twenty minutes before close, and the host said they were swamped and we could only do takeout. A minute later, unprompted, she told us that a server had agreed to serve us in her section, so we got to sit outside, near the bar. There was a phenomenal live musician playing, and our food and drinks were delicious and fresh.
Night two, we had an early dinner inside, and tried their burger and a Drum special. Both were, again, phenomenal. Our server from the night before remembered us and said hi.
Overall a phenomenal, friendly, delicious experience.
Delicious food and vegetarian options. I had the cauliflower steak, and they made the fried green tomatoes for us without bacon. There is a beautiful patio to sit on. It has a little less breeze than restaurants on the water, but it is a romantic atmosphere outside.
