First Watch - Matthews Township

We ate at First Watch in CA back in the mid-late 80's. We moved away and have been looking for FW ever since. This place is awesome. They leave the coffee pot at the table along with a fresh water bottle so you never run dry. The food is excellent and there are many healthy choices.

We used the First Watch APP and used the "Get In line" before we left home because at 9 am on a Sunday there was already a 30-45 minute wait. When we arrived 20 minutes later they told use 10-15 minutes but it only took 5. I recommend the APP.

As for the service and food, everything was great. It was a little more than we normally spend for breakfast but we'll worth it. My wife who normally drinks one cup of coffee, enjoyed the flavor and had two cups. Her Classic Eggs Benedict with Kale Salid was perfect. I had a skillet with potatoes, eggs, onions, and Italian Sausage which was also perfect.

I highly recommend this place.

Second visit one year later was as good as the first. My wife had the same thing and it was perfect. This time I had the Avocado Toast and it was great.

Excellent food and service! Great place to take family for casual dining experience. Menu was varied and had plenty of options for every taste! Will go there again! Would tell everyone to try it and enjoy!

For the most part I love this place. The staff is friendly and polite and the restaurant and bathrooms are clean. My only issue is the lack of consistency when it comes to the food. I can order the same dish on different days and it will be perfectly cooked and seasoned one day, and overcooked and somewhat bland the next. When it's made well it's delicious, but it isn't always made well. But overall this is a great restaurant!

This was our first time visiting this establishment. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted and welcomed with such hospitality. The wait was a breeze and as soon as we were seated our server was right there offering coffee on this chilly day, it was extremely welcoming. The ambiance is so quaint and delicately decorated with a rustic look. The menu had an exceptional amount of choices even gluten friendly choices. Being a person with this allergy it’s hard to receive phenomenal food but this experience was spectacular. Our server Naomi was kind, attentive and knowledgeable. One item on the menu I highly recommend was the million dollar bacon. This name fits to a tee. The best bacon I’ve ever tasted. That being said my entire meal was scrumptious. Not only is the food delicious but also affordable and you won’t leave without a full stomach and a positive outlook on this place.
