I am a true southerner, born in Charlotte and I must admit Macs hands down has the best barbecue in my humble opinion. I will also say their wings are the best in town as well! I love the way they are smoked first then grilled to a crispy perfection. You can get dry rubbed to hot and spicy with lots more options. Their sides are all delicious can’t go wrong... cheesy grits, Mac n Cheese too many to list but believe me, they are delicious. Let us not forget desserts...... Their banana pudding rivals my moms.... ( don’t tell her :-)
Our server Rose couldn’t have been anymore sweet informative suggesting all their awesome selections. One last thing .......huge beer selection wine mixed drinks. Daily specials the whole nine! And yes I would recommend to anyone wanting southern barbecue! Lots of seating in and out! We’ll most definitely be going back! Cheers!
Barbecue of numerous ilks served by Daisey Mae clad lasses. Rustic atmosphere with less-than-comfortable stools and chairs. Beer flows (be sure to bring your ID regardless of age) and talk can be loud while TV's display sports events. Prices are in line.
Very casual and Bikers are Welcomed.
Macs speed shop in Matthews is great! Good food, live music, and many beers to choose from. The service was great, I'm usually greeted at the door and I get great service from the servers and bartenders. Especially from Kyra, she was very nice and friendly, she got my food to me, she made good drinks, even a couple I've never had before. Great overall experience!
I would like to give this place a better rating but the prices are crazy. For what they charge I expect to be wowed, but I left just thinking that was alright. Stay away from the Brunswick stew. They should be ashamed to call that Brunswick stew at a BBQ place. Mac-n-cheese was great. BBQ was ehh.
