Our first visit was a little disappointing. We had a party of four with a reservation. Asked to be seated in a booth (2 booths visibly available) but were told those were for larger parties, 5 or 6 people. So we were seated in the middle of the already crowded area by putting 2 tables together. Two of us ordered the only chardonnay on the menu at ($12) and got the smallest amount of wine I've ever been served at any restaurant. When my friend ordered the 2nd glass it was twice the amount of the first glass.
The pizzas were good but I'd say they need to adjust the prices a bit. Also very loud and crammed in unless you are able to get a booth. We won't be in a hurry to go back. I will say our waiter was very nice and attentive.
We went last night. The chicken. Oh the chicken. That dish is amazing. I wish I'd packed up my roasted potatoes for breakfast this morning. Yum! The drinks were really well done as well. The best part was the people though. They know they are new and are there to get it right. The owner was greeting and bussing tables. They care. And I happened to be sitting at a place on the patio where I could see them entering and exiting the kitchen. I was so impressed by the sense of comradarie. This is a lovely spot.
Best new restaurant in Charlotte. Amazing pizzas and appetizers. Love the Honey Badger Pizza and crab cakes (the best ever!). Service is excellent - have eaten at the bar and on the patio, great experience with both.
Average - I give them a pass with it being their first week open but I’d wait another month or two to try to again until they get their act together. Service was disorganized and a mess. No synergies between the hostess stand, bar, and kitchen. Teenagers running the hostess stand on the opening weekend probably not the best idea when that’s the first interaction new customers have with the restaurant. Might be a good takeout place until their staff is more seasoned.
