Catalina Kitchen + Bar

Our first experience at Catalina was EXCELLENT! We couldn’t have asked for better food or service. Our servers Christian and Lydia did an amazing job. Their recommendations were on point, very knowledgeable of the menu and professional. We went for a birthday celebration, and the ambiance was beautiful. We tried many different dishes and several drinks that were very tasty. Several of us got the catalina burger, oven fried bread (a must) the wings (just the right amount of spice)sea food cobb salad, french toast, classic breakfast, chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits… our whole table was quiet…nothing but lips smacking it was so good. I highly recommend Catalina and I am definitely going back.

Went out for my sisters birthday and it was amazing! The staff was super friendly. The menu was exquisite. I got the scallops and they were phenomenal. The ambiance in the restaurant was just perfect. The dessert was also a hit! 10/10 recommended✨

The food and atmosphere here are amazing. Our server Paul was one of the best waiters I’ve had in a while. He predicted all our child’s needs and simply did his best all night, I’d go back just for the service!
The food was top notch. Very flavorful and plated beautifully. I highly recommend the lobster & shrimp roll. Kiddo got the tenders and a fruit cup and I’d have to say the fruit cup was worth it alone, very well done.
I bought a couple gift cards after dinner as they had a deal running and I absolutely plan on being back.

Was excited to try Catalina Kitchen & Bar in Charlotte, North Carolina. The experience was OK overall. The best part was our bartender and server Heather. She made an amazing martini and was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambience was OK. Reminds me of a downscale Del Frisco’s. It was way too bright. Not sure if that’s what they’re going for. Maybe for lunch, but not for dinner. The food was mediocre. We only had the tuna which was bland and not that fresh- the crisps were good. We also have the bread and that was delicious. We were actually supposed to eat dinner there but after the mediocre appetizers, we decided to go to Puerta. I would go back at a later point and try it again. Maybe for lunch.

Absolutely loved the food, service, and atmosphere at this restaurant. They just opened in September and they definitely have the secret sauce. Me and my friends came during happy hour and were able to try many dishes our favorite was the fried chicken sliders, so flavorful but note the spice is not for the weak but we still very much enjoyed the spice. For dessert we tried the apple brandy vanilla ice cream with the apple pie. I don't usually like hot fruit desserts but I enjoyed this very much, the pie crust was Delicious and the filling very tasty, but the star of this show was the homemade brandy ice cream.. It was soooooo good. Me and my friends will definitely be back. Hopefully they will have a brownie to go with this ice cream at some point...I can imagine that will be a rock star seller with that ice cream.. Please never take it off the menu ❤️.. Paul was our server and he was wonderful. The manager on duty was also awesome. Everyone was so attentive. Can't wait to go back for brunch as well.. That chicken with the waffle I'm dreaming about tasting 😋
