Last week we had the Big Al pizza and it was delicious! Today we had the Bad Paulie. It was good too, but very spicy. Last week the restaurant was full so we had to sit at the bar. The bartenders Aaliyah and Kayla were so nice that when we came back today we wanted to sit at the bar instead of a table. Great to see them again! Very nice bartenders, good food and good service. We will probably always sit at the bar because we appreciate their suggestions, service,
and conversation.
Damn good! Had two of their pizzas, pepperoni was perfectly cooked if you love crispy pepperonis. As to the Good Paulie, caramelizad onions, smoked Gouda, and sausage made for a perfect white pizza! Even though we didn’t have reservations, the bar has great seating options so don’t count your losses until you check that area out! Will be back!
First let’s talk about the ambiance! The place is gorgeous and a great idea for date night when you want to dress up but Indulge in bomb pizza. The Zia waffle fries are really good but you have to eat them fast! We tried the Bad Paulie and the Hot Chicken pizza both really good. Can’t want to go back to try the rest of the menu.
Normally, I don't leave many reviews. I have been waiting for a good Detroit Style place here in Charlotte. My wife and I got the MVP and the Emmy, as takeout. Both were amazing, well will be coming back, and are excitedly waiting for the South End location. My only criticism, the MVP was not as good as the sum of its parts. I think getting a house sauce, or pesto, or vodka on their own would have been better. However, best pizza I have had in the city!
Great greeting at entry. Felt welcome right away! The ambience was well thought out. It's open and not "overdone." It's nice, but still fit the neighborhood. Service was excellent. Not overbearing, but attentive. Good staff selections as well, even shared a few laughs. Food and drink was excellent! Two pies, both were great. Sauce was excellent. Pesto garlic was maybe the best left we ate all night. Easy recommend!
