I stopped in for a late lunch with the team and it was an all around excellent experience. The restaurant was pretty busy but we were seated immediately. Service and the food was pretty perfect. They were out of a few things on the menu but the items we had were all excellent. I added chicken to the tortellini pomodoro and it was delicious. The vibe and decor are top notch. I'm excited to go back when I can enjoy one of the cocktails.

Beautifully decorated interior with nicely separated zones for dinning, create a pleasant experience at this restaurant.
The service was nice and friendly, but it took them quite some time to get our main course.
The food was delicious, flavorful and great quality, and they have good drink selection with moketails.
We had a good time there and definitely recommend it to our friends.

Last night, my boyfriend Max and I decided on a whim to have a late-night date at North Italia, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience, largely thanks to our outstanding server, Denise W.

The evening began with the Grilled Bread & Good Olive Oil appetizer, a perfect starter with its delicious grana padano and herbs that set the tone for the evening. For our main courses, I indulged in the Strozzapreti, which featured succulent herb-roasted chicken, roasted mushrooms, spinach, toasted pine nuts, and a luxurious parmesan cream. Every bite was a delightful mix of flavors. Max enjoyed the Seasonal Vegetable Salad, a vibrant and refreshing mix of grilled asparagus, avocado, broccolini, sweet corn, heirloom cherry tomatoes, fregola, goat cheese, pistachios, and a superb Italian herb vinaigrette.

However, the true star of the night was Denise W. From the moment we sat down, Denise’s warm and attentive service stood out. She made sure every aspect of our meal was perfect. Denise anticipated our needs before we even voiced them—bringing me extra cheese for my pasta and honey for our tea, enhancing our dining experience in thoughtful ways. Her genuine care and attention made us feel incredibly welcomed and special.

After our delightful main courses, we enjoyed a soothing tea service, and Denise ensured it was a perfect end to our meal. Her friendly demeanor and meticulous service elevated our evening from a simple dinner to a memorable date night.

North Italia offers exquisite food and a lovely atmosphere, but it’s exceptional staff members like Denise who truly make it shine. If you’re looking for a restaurant where the service is as outstanding as the food, North Italia is the place to go. We can’t wait to return and hope to be lucky enough to have Denise as our server again.

The sicilian margarita was created perfectly. The orange peel was a wonderful topper. The ombre effect created a beautiful presentation. I would bring a napkin coaster out with it though.
The wild shrimp scampi was seasoned to perfection. The bread was a little plain. I think it would be nice to spread some seasoned butter or garlic confit on top of the bread.
The bolognese was also seasoned to perfection. The garnishes and the freshly grated cheese created another beautiful presentation. I could tell this was freshly made pappardelle because I've cooked with store bought pappardelle (even imported from Italy). But, it being this fresh made the quality go from a 100/10 to a 1000/10. The meat was seasoned well and not over cooked too. Thank you chefs!!!
My boyfriend had the gelato but I stole some bites and it was so tasty. Just wish it didn't melt so fast. I loved the fresh mixed berries in the sorbetto. I've had a lot of gelato around Charlotte and Italy and this tasted just as great!!
The food was a 1000/10 A++++++++++; our server was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our random questions, ALL the food tasted AMAZING. We couldn't stop saying oh my god!!
Literally, some of the best quality and freshly made Italian food you can find around Charlotte!!! YES!!

Beautiful interior, staff was very attentive and personable. We were in a bit of a time crunch for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised and impressed by how timely our food came out. The gem lettuce salad was delicious as was the beer battered calamari. Definitely will be coming again!
