Streetcar Bar + Bites

This was my second time at Streetcar and a completely different experience. The first time it was very crowded so expected longer wait times. However, the service was excellent, drinks and food were also great. Good music and good vibes.

This time, it was basically empty, so I expected timely service. But most times we had to retrieve our own drinks and flag down the waitress.
We ordered some food and all of it was clearly frozen and fried. Edible, but paying $15 for frozen food is a little steep. We also ordered the Buffalo chicken dip. The dip itself was good, but it was served with grocery store bought Tostitos chips (half of which were stale). We told the waitress about this and she said the chef said it’s “because the chips were baked”. They clearly weren’t baked - we know what Tostitos chips look like. And baking something doesn’t make it stale. She never offered us other chips, or carrots/celery, or comping it, or anything to supplement and resolve the issue.
The atmosphere is cool and good music, but will not be returning for the food. Maybe a few drinks and to catch a game on TV.

Love the vibe of this place!!! The hollaback hoagie is definitely one of the best steak sandwiches I’ve ever had. The chicken tenders and pork beef sliders were great too. Joseph, our server, was on point with descriptions and recommendations on food and drinks

Went for dinner at Pizza Baby in Charlotte NC and saw that Streetcar Bar & Bites was open so decided to check it out. Was a Monday night so not too busy but really enjoyed and liked the space. They played really good music and had a lot of bar seating and plenty of tables. I had a few glasses of wine and my bf had beer. They had a pretty good selection of both as well as cocktails. My only negative is that my wine glass was empty for about 10 minutes and I had to ask for another. No big deal on my end but they would have made a lot more money on me lol. The food was solid. The fries were definitely hand cut and crispy and seasoned well. The bartender also suggested the corn and crab fritters. They were light and not greasy and crunchy. Will definitely come back And have other things for sure!
