Jack Mackerels Island Grill

It was pricey but so worth it. Best seafood I've had in a long time. The snow crab is to die for. I also recommend the jumbie shrimp skewer they were so delicious. I will sure to come back!

I thought this place might be over hyped, some of the reviews gave me a little pause, but I was very pleased with our experience here. Family of 5 with 3 kids under 8. Service was fantastic, atmosphere was relaxed, beachy and enjoyable. Food was very good overall. I had the shrimp Cobb salad which was delicious. My wife had the calabash broiled with shrimp and scallops, which were good sized and appeared very fresh. My son had the chicken tenders which surprised us all, because they were some of the best chicken tenders I've ever eaten. Will definitely make it a point to come here again next time we visit.

I had the fish and chips. It was delicious! My husband had Calabash Shrimp. He thought it was excellent. It tasted like shrimp instead of just the breading. Our waitress was very attentive, too. Gave us a special treat.

We are not big fans of calabash style seafood but theirs was excellent. The large sea scallops and shrimp were fresh and breaded on site. Fried perfectly and very tasty. French fries were great and the crab dip was awesome. Service was great once we got seated but we had to wait over an hour even though we were told that it would be 30 minutes when we got there. Had two small children in our party and they handled the wait better than you would expect. The adults, including myself, were not happy. The strange thing was there were many empty tables and booths and they wouldn't seat anyone. They told us the kitchen had them on hold? Guess that means something but we couldn't understand because getting seated and being able to order drinks wouldn't put a burden on the kitchen at all. Having said that I would still definitely go back to Jack Mackerels again and recommend it highly.
