“I really enjoyed my visit to this local coffee shop! The staff was very friendly and kind. Coffee is good. Prices are reasonable. They sell a number of pastries as well. You can also order a number of egg dishes. The decor is coastal and pleasant. The establishment was very clean, as was the restroom. They have WiFi available! If you are in the area this is a must for your morning coffee and breakfast. We tried Mickeys scramble and it was very good. Lots of fresh veggies mixed with the eggs. They have a reward card where you get a free coffee after you buy 10.”

“Last year drinks and food were great, but we were disappointed this visit. Margaritas were too sweet every time we've had them this year. The mussels with blue cheese used to be outstanding, they were bland and sandy. Orange shrimp was good. I ordered sesame seared tuna, one of my favorites that I've had in many places. Sesame seeds are ALWAYS on top and bottom of the tuna and seared. It arrived with the seeds around the edge and not seared. It was sushi grade tuna and the inside was rare but not what I expected. My potatoes and vegetables were cold. My husband's fish and chips were ok.”

“Charlie's is another small town jewel. The waitress was prompt and personable as she seated us. It was very clean as well. Appetizers as we were waiting for our food we're these fried coils of golden goodness known as hush puppies. We had to have a second helping! My husband got the captain's platter with fried fillet, fried shrimp, and scallops with a baked potato. Mine was a grilled baby flounder, and it was wonderful! My son got chicken tenders, and everything arrived hot and fresh. We were the last ones to leave, but we never felt rushed. I could have eaten every night there.”

“We stopped in for lunch today. The food was fine, service was fine. The 3 star rating is for the fact that they didn't wrap our sandwiches up like has always been done. We were eating in, but at Subway, when you unwrap your sandwich, THAT'S YOUR PLATE, right?? I'm not sure if that's a new, cost saving measure or what, but I didn't like it. I then had to eat my wrap using a napkin as a plate. Then when I didn't eat the whole thing, I had to ask for a paper to wrap it up... I will be completing their survey and voicing my opinion.”

“It really deserves a 3.5 let me tell you why! Sometimes the cashier's here can be kind of rude. The Chinese lady is the only one who 100% is always polite and courteous! The price of the food is 2$ more than New York City. Can someone explain why. The specials are hit and miss. More of a miss when the Pork fried rice tastes like yesterday's leftovers. There are better places in New Bern, but when you receive a craving on this side of the bridge you will find your mind debating with your stomach”
