So I called this place at 900pm they had me in a room by the time My wife and I arrived. Immediately felt at home when we walked in. The wood staircase and a fire going were amazing to experience. Took me back to a time I never got to experience just for a moment. The rooms are a bit drab, the tv was blurry and the view from room 7 is a fire exit! Was told all the rooms have great views. we only stayed from 10 that night to 11 the next morning. (Was hoping for a slight discount 😀) either way, I’m not complaining. I wanted to take my wife on an impromptu spa vacation day and the people at the inn made it all possible. we did not get to experience the hot tub or dinner but breakfast was great. Oh, and the two-hour couples massage was wow. My only complaint is looking up at a metal-air vent while trying to relax. Just a suggestion!!Thank you and we will be back
We stayed two nights. Our original reservation was for one but we decided to extend after the first night. The hotel is unique in decor and located in a beautiful area. There is a recreation area indoors with pool table and board games lots of seating. A speakeasy bar in the basement and an outdoor fireplace and hot tub. The service is excellent and very personable they remember your name and work hard to make the experience memorable.
We love this place. Have visited twice now and plan to go back again. Rooms have a beautiful view of the Broad river. The restaurant is a little pricey, but the food is amazing. Make sure to schedule a massage before you get there (they can book up fast). The Inn is just a mile or so from town. There are tons of fun small shops and places to eat. If you keep going down the same road, you will run into Lake Lure and the beach area.
Awesome views from our cabin. The staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant had terrific food and wasn't terribly priced. The cabin had some design quirks such as no shower door, only one shower head in a shower of its size, as well as not having have a tankless water heater so you only get about 20 minutes of hot water. Some of the fixtures were loose in the bathroom and room proper. But overall an enjoyable experience and would definitely stay again.
