“We love this place. Have visited twice now and plan to go back again. Rooms have a beautiful view of the Broad river. The restaurant is a little pricey, but the food is amazing. Make sure to schedule a massage before you get there (they can book up fast). The Inn is just a mile or so from town. There are tons of fun small shops and places to eat. If you keep going down the same road, you will run into Lake Lure and the beach area.”

To their credit they were all wearing masks (review posted in COVID). Disappointingly we left our meal finished (we ate outside), went for a walk and about 40mins later walked back past and our table and the one next to us still had not been cleaned up.”

“The food was home cooking comfort food. I especially recommend the pancakes for breakfast - big and fluffy and crisp around the edges. Just like grandma used to make. There is also a small souvenir store in-restaurant. It's Christian themed, as is the restaurant, so if that is your style then this is the perfect place for you. My only complaints were the waitress's attitude - clearly did not want to be here, and a little bit of a wait to get both service and food. If you don't mind waiting, then it's overall a good experience.”

“We had lunch here the bisque was delicious, lick the bowl clean. We also had the Cuban, it was also good, served on toasted rolls with a side. The waitress recommended the cinnamon roll but it was a bit doughy in the middle. It was Mothers day so they were really busy and I appreciated how all the workers helped out to make sure everyone received decent service. They welcome our canine companions. Both our boys were served fresh water and they have a doggy menu. We ordered fresh marrow bones for them and they enjoyed their bones while we enjoyed our lunch.”

“On our visit here at Chimney Rock we stopped in here to get a parfait and a banana split... The young lady that was working there will do her grandma Justice and she was doing quite well... I was very impressed with her and I even told her that one day she going to be a millionaire with her work ethics.. :-).. you go girl..:-) ;-) Later that day we went back and got to meet the owner which was the girl's grandmother and again our experience was excellent.. Yes I suppose somebody could complain about the price but why.??. we got a banana split and a parfait and it was about $10 . we think it's a great deal and it was absolutely wonderful.. We have no complaints and five stars (5☆) to the young lady who was there running it all by herself home from school on summer vacation.. She does her grandma Justice.. I highly recommend this place and we will return....”

“Great views so try and sit on the balcony or at least by the windows so that you can enjoy the view of Lake Lure. My husband had the Ribs and he said they were the best he ever had, they were falling off the bone they were so tender. I had the hamburger and it was your typical burger, I was satisfied with it. They have helpful and friendly staff. They do not take reservations even for large groups.”

“I was hesitant getting sandwiches from a gas station, but my family told me how the gas station was owned by the person who rented us our pontoon boat and his son owned the sandwich shop. To support local businesses we went here for lunch, and I am SO happy we did! Amazing chicken salad sandwich and my family all loved their lunches as well! The service given to us by the shop owner was awesome, too. We might end up going there tomorrow as well. I definitely recommend this place!”

“This little beach Cabana has ice cream, alcohol, and souvenirs for sale. You can also go on a wine boat tour, a lunch boat tour, or just a normal tour. We did the normal boat tour and it was super interesting. Would definitely recommend that. You can also rent pontoons, kayaks, canoe and other small boats to take out on the beach. They have outdoor seating available and are just a few steps away from the beach.”

“11 of us showed up to eat at Victory Kitchen with no idea what to expect. The restaurant was full which was a good indicator that we might have chosen a good place to eat. Shortly after getting there enough tables cleared out that we could sit down, a table of kind strangers offered to switch tables so we could all sit together. The folks that run this place are very kind and helpful. Before long we had menus, drinks and coffee. The menu has plenty of options and can't imagine anyone not finding something they would like to try. Between the 11 of us we ordered several things: omelettes, french toast, pancakes, hasbrowns etc. Everyone in our group enjoyed their selections and portion size was perfect. Wish we lived close enough to come back often. We left there feeling like we had eaten breakfast at a friends house. If you are in the area you should stop in and try Victory Kitchen, I am sure you will not be disappointed.”

“Foxrun/ Den is a large timeshare within the Wyndham Rumbling Bald Resort. The location in the mountains on Lake Lure is stunning.The units are large two bedroom, two bath townhouses or single family style homes with a mountain home look. These are nicely equipped to handle up to 8 people with full kitchens. Unit owners, renters and trade in guests have access to all the resort amenities including two outdoor pools, an indoor pool and exercise room and full service spa. Two on-site restaurants and a cafe offer good food. There are bike rentals, kayaks and SUPBoards on Lake Lure. A new hiking trail has been opened but we haven't explored it. Other restaurants are a few miles away, many exceptionally good. We are owners here and spend a month every year in late summer and love it.”
