“My Wife and I went on a a Friday night for the prime rib special. Our wait was reasonable considering the time. When we were seated we were seated at a four top booth. The booth seats were very uncomfortable and needed to be replaced as they just cave in under weight. Neither of us are overly heavy so it was not weight causing this. Our server was very polite, friendly, and helpful. Our drinks arrived in a reasonable amount of time as did our appetizer which was artichoke dip and chips. Our appetizer was properly hot and very tasty. The chips were excellent. Our prime rib arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was properly hot as well as the sides. My only complaint is that the prime rib was poor quality but considering this was not a steakhouse it was edible considering the price. I'd not order it again. The menu is full of better options. The reason for three stars is the seating situation, there were some cleanliness issues with our silverware and the restaurant overall but nothing I consider a health issue. It appears it's time for them to do some renovations but nothing big. We will go back again on a different day and update this review accordingly. The bottom line is I would still recommend this restaurant but encourage other menu items. I've had other things from the menu and they were absolutely delicious! The bar is well stocked and comfortable. The pricing is very reasonable. On certain days you get free pie! Support our local businesses because it's an investment in improving our area and maintaining the improvements.”

“Tonight the wife and I decided to go back to the Golden Coral in Monroe again. The last time we were there we had a slight problem with getting a steak that wasn't burnt. Tonight we were amazed how the difference from last week to this week could be. The same lady that was having problems last week was cooking the steaks again and she was doing an excellent job. The steaks were perfect. I ate three myself just the way I like them. The waitress Lynn, was great. She worked so hard in her area. We never had to ask for tea or to remove the plates. I have to say tonight was a good experience. We're looking forward to going back again soon. We give them an "A" for tonight. Thank you Golden Coral Staff.”

“Takara Sushi & Steakhouse has really stepped up their game. I have not been here in 2 years and I would not have gone back tonight if I wasn't invited to a birthday party, but I would have missed out. Last time we came the all around service wasn't great but tonight that definitely changed. We had eight people in our party we were seated and our drink orders were taken promptly they were also delivered to the table very quickly. The waitress took our order our soup and appetizers we're on the table within 10 minutes and our chef was right behind. we had our six-year-old nephew with us and be a chef went out of his way to entertain him throwing an egg in his pocket and in his hat he also threw some rice for my nephew to try and catch he did a really good job keeping him happy. He did an amazing job cooking our dinner everything was cook properly and delicious. it is Friday night so the restaurant was busy but that didn't keep us from receiving wonderful service. After this visit I will definitely be back.”

“Grumpy Monk in Monroe is now one of my favorite eating establishments. They had some rough patches with service when they opened, but those have smoothed out. The food is excellent and the service is usually very quick. This is our favorite place for salad in the area. They're always fresh and they are HUGE - easily 2-3 times bigger than a dinner salad at most any other restaurant I've tried. The burgers are good, the wings are great. The french dip is one of my favorite sandwiches anywhere. Their homemade chips are wonderful - everything I've eaten there recently has been excellent. We try to make it in once a week if we can. This was all while they were so busy I had to park in the adjoining target parking lot to pick up my take out. I guess it goes to say if it’s packed then it probably has good food.
