Best experience at a Mexican restaurant in Raleigh! Just moved here and have been disappointed with the Mexican restaurant s I have experienced/dined in in town. This place changed that. I had the ultimate fajitas and loved them! This place also has a tasty house made hot salsa.
Everyone has their regular no frills spots to eat at, and El Dorado is one of mine. The price of food is very cheap. While they won’t be earning a Michelin 5 star rating for their menu, it’s still super tasty and filling. I don’t know any other restaurant in the area I can go to for $5 and get a full meal and a drink and leave feeling full and satisfied. The restaurant service is great and friendly. You get in and out quick, but don’t feel rushed to do so. The food never changes, and you never have to worry about the chef having an off day. This is good, basic, Mexican food. They have your usual “Americanized” Mexican food menu, but also some unique authentic Mexican dishes if you want to try them.
We enjoy the food and the congeniality of the staff. The cost of the food is amazingly cheap which of course adds to the appeal. We have a weekly standing “date” with our friends on Wednesdays, which is half price Margarita night. Try it, you might “love” it.
Best Mexican food in the area. All the 1 star review clearly don’t appreciate good quality cheap Mexican food. Beer’s cold and the food is awesome. Staff are always welcoming and great. The boys of Delta Iota Kappa love their El D’s.
