This is for the W.130th location....We love the restaurant not only because its close to home but for its food. Usually not not always, service is good. I have however been there when we had to wait very long or our food was wrong. But my main concern is this....Since I first noticed this issue in November 2012, I see the decorative ornamental wood decor above the center booths are laden with dust. I shudder when Iam seated below it. Iam sure this be being overlooked.

Let me just say that this was a very well hidden gem for foodies under the age of 40, and a not so hidden one for those over 40. My partner and I had tried so hard to find flavorful Italian food in NEO with very poor luck. I took her to Bucci's on her birthday after an extensive search for "cool" restaurants in the area. I took a list from the food network's "Best think I ever ate" and she picked Bucci's. I went with Iron Chef Michael Symon's choice the cavatelli, she ordered from the legendary parmesans menu (chicken). We started with the bruschettas and finished with tiramisu. The bruschettas has really fresh basil and mozarella, the tomatoes not very juicy but overall it was all flavorful, with the perfect marriage of balsamic and olive oil. The little white breads with butter that came with it were quite good as well, just toasted enough to hold the salad in place, but with a nice touch of garlic and butter to give you extreme pleasure. Both our entrees exceeded our expectations. I got the cavatelli with two meatballs, the meatballs were nice and moist, with great flavors inside. The cavatelli was perfectly cooked and the texture of them was unique. I loved the thickness of them, they were almost dumplings, the red sauce that came with it was also very flavorful and perfectly cooked. It was not too tomatoey nor too watery, it had the right amount of spices to go with the flavor of the tomato sauce. The chicken parmesan had the same tasty red sauce, the chicken cooked perfectly, and the breading perfectly seasoned. We were taken by surprise. Since we were not able to eat all of our meal, we still wanted to taste dessert, so we ordered a tiramisu to go. We got a half a liter container full to the max, we had enough for two days, and let me tell you this was blissful. I do not enjoy tiramisu due to the heavy coffee in most of those I try, this tiramisu just had a nice touch of coffee, and the mascarpone gave it a nice dimension. The lady fingers were moist, it was again, blissful. The closest I can compare it to is to my mom's tres leches which is unbeatable. Anyway a must try for every foodie. We had an early (6:00pm) dinner on a Monday. Our server was very good, very knowledgeable, and polite. The decor can do a bit better (a bit outdated), but at least it was clean! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
