BIG MAL'S LINDEN CAFE

Greens probably best I ever had, mac pretty dang good, fries were good and the fish was just ok to me will definitely be back for the sides!

I came across this beautiful restaurant looking for some good soul food in the area and boy oh boy am I impressed!!!! From the service, to the cleanliness, atmosphere, the food quality, portions, I FOUND MY FOREVER PLACE!! I finally found a restaurant that gives real homestyle southern cooking in Ohio! I ordered the Mac n cheese, beans, turkey ribs, and the strawberry crunch cake which were all equally amazing, seasoned to perfection and mouth watering. I feel so at home here and I even noticed the small details like when I saw the owner, assist a man in a wheelchair to their car was just a genuine, kind gesture and that’s the kind of local business I want to support. I give it 10/10 and I will be back!!!!!!

Decided to check out Big Mali's in Linden today. I ordered the 3 bones spare ribs, baked beans, yams, collard greens and macaroni and cheese. The 3 bones were nice and tender with a sweet sauce on them. Good stuff. The yams were well cooked and not too sweet. The baked beans were cooked with ground beef and I believe maybe cinnamon in it. Now on to the stars of the meal. The greens were cooked perfectly and had the slightest of bite to them. Yummmy!!! Then there was the Macaroni and cheese. OMG!!!! Baked perfectly with a creamy cheese. Should have ordered several of the big containers of this. It was so off the chart. Will definitely have to go back for the fish next time.

The food was good, the people were nice, and it had a decent atmosphere. The burger I had was okay but I thought the fries were really good. The desert was good as well.

Overall this a good restaurant in general and pretty good especially if you like southern cooking. I've tried some of the entrees as well and they were better than the cheeseburger in my opinion. It's definitely worth a visit for sure.

A friend and stopped in and ordered take out from here a couple of weeks ago. Good customer service. We both got fish dinners 1 perch, 1 whiting. We both had macaroni and one tried greens and the other green beans and we shared a side of yams. Everything was really delicious. Fish was a bit salty for my taste, but fried to perfection. They did forget our bread and some condiments but other than that, no complaints. I look forward to going back.
